His mother, after hearing her husband shouting for help, ran to the toilet only for her to also get stabbed. The father died on the spot while the mother was resuscitated by medical officers at the emergency bay on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.

He thought he had killed both of them. After stabbing them, he pulled out a cloth to cover them, and he went to the bathroom to clean up. He got dressed, took his father’s phones, his ATM cards and went straight to the father’s fuel station at Palm Avenue. He got there and started harassing the station manager, demanding for money.” the source said

The police was invited and the suspect was arrested. He has been transferred to the Homicide Section at the Lagos State CID in Panti for further interrogation.
“Just like his other brother (who is) studying Medicine in the US, he has been begging this boy to go to school and this has always been the cause of the misunderstanding.”the source

IT IS BETTER TO HAVE MANY WIVES THAN MANY LOVERS OUTSIDE _REV.FATHER NGBE

Rev. Father Gabriel Ngbe of Akwangwa Catholic Church, in Nasarawa State, on Sunday canvassed the need for Catholic Church to incorporate some good aspects of African culture in its Doctrine and that monogamy should be accepted in the Church because of those that have only one wife.

The Catholic Priest made this known while celebrating Acculturation Mass at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church Akwanga.

In his words: “The Whiteman that brought Christianity to us mixed the religion with his culture and Africans just accepted it like that at the expense of our culture.

“If we did not incorporate parts of our culture into the way we worship God, our culture would in no distant time go into extinction,” he said.Ngbe explained that local foods should henceforth be used for communion in the Catholic Church instead of using products imported from Europe. The priest also said meaningful local names should be given to people during Baptism and Confirmation in Catholic Churches as against using “English names.”

Ngbe urged members to imbibe the habit of wearing local dresses during weddings as well as using local languages for Mass. He said that anybody who practiced monogamy before accepting Christ should be given equal treatment in the Church with those that have only one wife. “It is better to have many wives at home than to have only one and yet have many girl friends and lovers outside,” the priest said. Ngbe therefore commended the Yoruba people for incorporating their culture in the way they practiced both Christianity and Islam and urged others to emulate them.

Anthony Olufemi Joshua,British  Professional boxer of Nigerian parentage emerged victorious in the fight against Eric Molina after only three rounds.

All through the fight Eric was mostly on the defensive and rarely succeeded in throwing a punch, making the fight look like a mismatch to cut the long story short, halfway into the third round with Anthony knocking Molina to the canvas with several punches. The referee stepped in then to end the fight.

Moments after the win, Eddie Hearn, Joshua’s promoter, brought Wladimir Klitschko into the ring to announce that he will be fighting Anthony Joshua on April 29th at Wembley Stadium.  It is believed that this fight will be the toughest so far for the Nigerian born British boxer, considering Klitschko’s numerous years in the ring.

Klitschko’s defeat to Tyson Fury at the end of last year came as a surprise to most, including to Klitschko. No doubt this fight with Joshua will be seen by Klitschko as a way to redeem himself and this makes the fight all the more intriguing. Joshua on his part seems confident about the fight and he expressed this in his speech to his audience;
 “Klitschko wants his belts back, may the best man win. I focus on myself, that's how I beat Wladimir Klitschko.”
