ADEBOYE BLASTS GOVERNMENT FOR MELDING IN CHURCH MATTERS

Pastor Enoch Adeboye,  General Overseer (Worldwide) of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), has warned the Federal Government to stop meddling in church matters. Adeboye, who spoke yesterday at the Redemption Camp, Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, Ogun State, said that:

“The government has been showing increasing interest in church affairs. Unfortunately, for us in RCCG, it might not be very helpful,” Adeboye said.

“For example, when I decided on what will be the pension of our pastors, what I decided is not done anywhere in the world. That somebody will retire and continue to earn full salaries all his lifetime.

“This, I started, but government stepped in and made a law that we should be contributing to pension fund.

“We have to obey and we started doing that. The result is that pastors don’t get as much as they were getting under our own previous arrangement. But, what can we do? We have to obey the law,” he disclosed.

His words: “Now there are fresh laws. We have a rough idea of what the law is about.

“Some people believe that RCCG is becoming too influential and we’re going to be more influential. When you get home, tell members to join a political party.

“Join a party and become a card-carrying member of any party. Just join any party. We shall decide issues right from the ward level.

“If you are not active at ward level, you’ll do what they plan and say at the top. Enrol in any party of your choice and have a card. When holding meetings at ward level to choose delegates, be there.”

“One Muslim in Ibadan said years ago that he didn’t know what’s wrong with Christians; that we help them to occupy political positions and refused to capitalise on our population. That’s going to change from now,” Adeboye stated.

Justice Adeniyi Adetokunbo Ademola of the Federal High Court and his wife, Mrs. Olabowale Toluwatope Ademola, trial will commence on January 11th. This comes after the Federal Capital Territory High Court, sitting in Maitama, today, granted an application by the embattled judge, asking the court to move their trial from January 18th to an earlier date so they can get it done with and move on with their lives.

Justice Ademola is alleged to have collected bribe from lawyers and others while dispensing his duties as a judge. His wife is alleged to have been used as a proxy to sometimes collect the bribes. The judge and his wife were first arraigned in court in December last year and  were granted N50 million bail each.

AN ACCOUNTANT TRIED TO COMMIT SUICIDE AFTER HE DISAPPEARED WITH COMPANY'S $50,000 !

Accountant of Eternal Oil, Reuben Agboola,32, has been arrested after he disappeared with his company’s 50,000 dollars and allegedly pretended he had been kidnapped.

Agboola said that a spell was cast on him by a fan who called him just as he was withdrawing 50,000 dollars from bank, which his company sent him to cash.

His words: “I’m into music. One of my fan, whom I often used to chat with, called me while I was in the banking hall. During our discussion on that fateful day, he asked me where I was. I told him I was in the bank, withdrawing money for my company. It was then he told me he needed 15,000 dollars to sort out his deportation problem in London. Immediately he told me that; something came over me.  I counted 15,000 dollars from the company’s money. He said that he would send someone to meet at the bank to the money.”

Agboola said when he left the banking, he met the expected person outside, waiting. He quietly handed over the money and his phone.

He explained: “It was after the person had gone that I regained my senses. I was confused. I didn’t know where or how to begin to search for the person. I don’t know what happened to me that day; it wasn’t the first time I would be going to the bank to withdraw money for my company. I had even withdrawn 200,000 dollars for my company before. I believed a spell was cast on me.”

According to Agboola, when it dawned on him that he had lost 15,000 dollars, he became scared. He ran to a primary school, located in Bariga area of the metropolis, to hide the remaining 35,000 dollars.

He said: “I didn’t want to take the money home because my wife would query me on where and how I got such a huge amount of money. After keeping the money in the school premises, I boarded a taxi to Epe to commit suicide. When I got to Epe, I changed my mind and decided to report myself to the police.”
Agboola, who denied ever pretending to have been kidnapped, added: “I only told the policemen that I went into hiding. Nobody kidnapped me. As I speak with you, I can’t fathom what really happened to me.”
The Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Fatai Owoseni, said the suspect, in order to avoid being arrested called and told his company that he had been kidnapped.
Owoseni said: “The suspect told his company that 15,000 dollars had been collected from him by armed robbers, who were kidnappers. The command will ensure the recovery of the remaining 35,000 dollars.”

WHY I DEFRAUDED MY COMPANY N22 MILLION ....... TO PAMPER MY WIFE !

The Lagos State Police Command has arrested a salesman, Mr. James Babalola, 43, working with Pharmacy Plus, who allegedly alleging diverted his company's Pharmacy  drugs valued at over N22 million.

He confessed to have used the money to acquire property, lived large and pampered his wife. The police had since confiscated one of the properties acquired by him.

A police source said: “The suspect would have continued with the crime, if not that the pharmaceutical company decided to audit the account. His modus operandi is to use a pseudo third party name to collect the goods, but he’s actually the person collecting the goods. He also opened a third party bank account.”

Narrating his own side of the story, Babalola said: “I’m here because I owe Pharmacy Plus money. I have told them to give me time. I promise to refund them. I have been working for the company for six years. They used to give me goods to sell. I’m a salesman. We sell drugs. I have been intercepting the delivery of the goods over the years with the aid of a pseudo third-party account. I was only caught last month after the company’s account was audited.”
Babalola said that he used to earn N80, 000 monthly as a salesman and had an official car. He, however, seemed to be quite unsatisfied with his salary as he tried to give his reason for defrauding his company.

He said: “The reason I did it was because of properties. I needed more properties.”
The suspect said that his wife, Funke, had often complained about the way he spent money.
He said: “Funke had been suspecting and complaining that I was spending beyond my monthly salary, but she didn’t stop accepting varieties of items I bought for her. I convinced her to believe the money was legit. She didn’t know anything about any of this. I’m ashamed of myself. I regret everything.”

BURIED 6-SIBLING TO BE EXHUMED AS POLICE AUTOPSY DISAPPEARS !

The Residents of Ekweumilli Community in Nnewi South Local Government Council Area of Anambra State have demanded that police should quickly provide autopsy results of the death of six children of same parents, so they would know the cause of their death.

Facts emerged recently  by members of the community was that the autopsy results had allegedly disappeared from police custody.

The Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Assistant Superintendent of Police, Nkiru Nwode, said she was not in a position to give answers why the autopsy results were not ready.
On July 16, 2016, Ekwulimili was plunged into mourning after six children of the same parents died in less than an hour.

The six siblings; Chukwuebuka 17, Chinemerem 15, Afomachukwu 13, Chekwubechukwu 11, Onyekachukwu nine and Chukwuziterem, six, had returned  from school on the fateful day and after eating their lunch of a flour meal, developed stomach upset. They died within minutes; one after the other.
This tragic incident had several interpretations which compelled the community, the police and Anambra State Government to embark on different voyages to unravel the circumstances that led to the death of the children.

The President General of the community, Chief Ugochukwu Eweluaku, said that the community was still awaiting the result of the autopsy conducted on the children. He said that nobody would rest until the cause of death was known and made public.
His words: “We wouldn’t mind to exhume the remains to conduct a fresh one if the Homicide Squad has misplaced the initial autopsy results as we heard.”

The chairman of the Elders’ Forum, Chief Patrick Dim Anyichie, said that normalcy was gradually returning to the community.

He noted that such horrible incident had never happened in the history of the town.
Anyichie said:  “What happened in our community was tragic, but we cannot question God. Nobody is happy. Nothing is hidden under the sun.”

Chief Ebenezer Okolie, secretary of the Elders Forum, described the death as an unfortunate incident.
Okolie said: “As human beings, we’re to express our feelings when such a mysterious thing happens. The only thing we can do now is to pray for the repose of our children because we cannot take revenge. However, the community is still awaiting the results of the autopsy.”
Oramulu further said: “I want to use this opportunity to call on the Governor of Anambra State, to urge the authorities of the police command to release the result; to at least douse the tension and restore the confidence our youths reposed on elders of the community.”
A youth, who did not disclose his name, said the community will hold a general meeting after the Christmas, where other issues, including that of the deceased children would be ironed out.

A pastor, who gave his name simply as Simeon, described the death of the kids as mysterious.
Simeon said:  “I have lived in this area for 15 years, but I have never heard such a story.  What happened to the children might be a serious spiritual attack.  Some flour meals, bought in the market are sometimes dangerous to health. Some of them are preserved for several years with dangerous chemicals, which is why the government should facilitate the autopsy results.”

IF I STILL THINK OF TAKING ANOTHER WIFE AT THIS AGE ...IT'S A PURE MADNESS~~JIDE KOSOKO

Veteran Nollywood actor Prince Jide Kosoko , in June2016, lost his third wife, Henrietta Kosoko after a brief battle with diabetes. In a recent interview with The Point, he narrated what actually led to her death saying,

‘Forget all those things you heard. She was ill. She died of complications that arose from diabetes. Honestly, my family, friends and colleagues stood by me and I appreciate that.

Of course, you will always have one or two persons, who would say one or two negative things. But you see, in my life, I have fought so many battles and I have won all. It is only people who want to be crushed that would confront me in war, because the Almighty God has His plans for me. It is just quite unfortunate that these things are happening to me, but I would still thank the Almighty God for everything. There are reasons for everything and I want to believe that it is natural’.
When asked if he’ll be taking a new wife, he said,

‘If at this age, I still think of taking a wife, when I have over a dozen children, it is madness. On January 12, I will be 63. I am taking care of some of the children, while others are now adults. She left and left me with two teenagers’.

DOMESTIC VIOLENCE: WIFE ALLEGEDLY BEATEN TO DEATH BY HER HUSBAND ON XMASS DAY

According to the Emmanuel Ugwuonye who shared the story on 'the Due Process Advocate' Facebook group, the pregnant lady was allegedly brutally beaten by her partner on Christmas day until she bled to death. He wrote;

"WHY IT IS NEARLY IMPOSSIBLE TO STOP HAMMERING ON DOMESTIC VIOLENCE. Many times I have tried to shift attention away from domestic violence. But there are reasons why I could not do that. First, it is one of the aims and objectives listed on DPA Constitution. Second, everyday there is a new domestic violence case begging for my attention. That is; everyday some wife-beater beats his woman, and even kills her like in this case.
We just can't stop and we need to press harder against domestic violence. A member just reminded me of another deadly domestic violence case that nearly escaped my attention. Tomorrow, we shall pursue the animal that killed this pregnant woman. I hope he is not one of these men attacking me on our wall.
Contrary to what the wife-beaters think, I'm not really in a rush to damble into domestic violence cases. These cases are crying for my attention and these murderous husbands can't stop killing their wives. They just like to come on Facebook to judge me for my divorce."
