The happy husband of Fareedah Bashir , Junaidu Usman Abubakar who got married recently after Ayeesha  accused (read the story here) Fareedah of snatching her man(Usman)  took to his Instagram page to praise his new bride, thanking her for making him believe in love again. FG SUMMONS INDIAN HIGH COMMISSIONER TO NIGERIA OVER ATTACKS ON NIGERIAN STUDENTS IN INDIA

The Federal government has summoned the Indian High Commissioner to Nigeria, Ambassador Nagabashana Reddy, over the recent attacks on Nigerian students studying in the countrty. Recall that some Nigerian students on Monday sustained severe injuries after a group of locals attacked them in Pari Chowk, Noida.

The permanent secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Sola Enikanolaiye who called for the meeting, expressed displeasure over the recent attacks.

"This is not the first time this would happened; Nigerians have suffered similar attack in the past; so, what we will like to see on this occasion is that the perpetrator should be arrested. And we want to see diligent prosecution so that it would serve as a deterrent to those who think they can take laws into their hands and harass students who are going about their studies"he said

The Indian High Commissioner apologised for the attacks and said that the Indian government have taken concrete steps to address the incident and also promised that those who perpetrated the act would be made to face the law.
"The government is determined to see that justice is done” the High Commissioner said

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), in Sokoto state, says it has arrested a couple for allegedly burning the male organ of a 17-year old teenager, name withheld, over rape allegation.

The Commandant of the Corps, Mr Babangida Abdullahi, confirmed the arrest in an interview with journalists in Sokoto on Wednesday.
Abdullahi said that the couple, name withheld, were arrested on Tuesday, at their Sama residence, Sokoto.
He said: ”They alleged that the teenager, a Senior Secondary School three students, raped their four-year old daughter. So, they sponsored some boys who seized him on March 24, took him to the suspect’s house, the suspects severely tortured him and burnt his manhood.
They also locked him up in a toilet up to the following day, March 25. The victim was later taken to the Specialist Hospital, Sokoto, where he is responding to treatment.”


Abdullahi said that the couple was arrested on March 28, for allegedly taking the law into their hands.

 The commandant further said that the suspects would soon be arraigned in court upon the conclusion of thorough investigations.

The Father of the victim, Abdullahi Ibrahim, a Teacher at Sultan Bello Secondary School, Sokoto, appealed to the state government to assist the family in seeking justice for his son.

He also made similar appeal to the Sultanate Council of Sokoto, local and international human rights groups, among others. Ibrahim said one of the suspects had threatened to kill him in the event that he made attempt to take any action.

The suspects, however, denied the allegations in an interview with newsmen.

ALI NDUME WHO MOVED A MOTION FOR INVESTIGATION OF MELAYE AND SARAKI HAS BEEN SUSPENDED !

Former Senate Leader,Senator Ali Ndume, who moved the motion for the senate to investigate Sahara Reporters claim that Dino Melaye forged his certificate and Senate President Bukola Saraki purchased a Range Rover Bulletproof SUV without paying the necessary Customs duty, has been suspended for six months.

His suspension was announced today on the floor of the house, following recommendations by the senate's committee on Ethics and Priviledges.

The committee in its report, stated that Ndume failed to conduct a proper investigation before reacting to the allegations. The committee members had earlier recommended that Ndume be suspended for 191 days starting from today but the senators later reduced the suspension to 6 months starting from today March 29th.

NYSC OFFICIAL ALLEGEDLY BRUTALIZED FEMALE CORPS MEMBER FOR NOT WEARING KHAKI JACKET IN EKITI !

According to corps member, Angel Eluna, she alleged that an official of NYSC  brutalized her for not wearing her Khaki jacket in Ekiti State.
