WORLD AUTISM DAY: FEMI OTEDOLA'S DAUGHTER WRITES ABOUT LIVING HER AUTISTIC BROTHER !

To mark the 2017 World Autism Day, Femi Otedola's daughter, Temi,writes about her autistic brother ,Fewa,( Billionaire Femi Otedola's third child) who is autistic. Her's what she wrote;

Autism Awareness day was launched 9 years ago to raise awareness and conversation about the people living with autism around the globe. with this in mind, I have decided to share my own personal experience with autism.

Before getting to my own personal journey of loving and knowing someone on the autistic spectrum, I think it’s important to first describe what it is to those of you reading who are less familiar. Essentially, autism is a social development disorder which affects the cognitive, communicative and interactive ability of the brain.

People with autism struggle with heightened sensory stimulation and need a lot of attention and support from their parents, teachers and siblings to ensure they can lead the most productive and happy life possible. Raising awareness is not the main goal at this point–understanding is, and even more important–acceptance. So this Autism Awareness Day I ask for all of you, to appreciate, love on, or simply accept those living with autism.

How has autism personally affected my life?
In 2004, my mum called my sisters and me into her bedroom. With the composure only a mother can have, she told us that our baby brother, Fewa, had ‘special needs’. While my sisters asked questions, all I could do was think about what this would mean for me, the already overindulged, youngest of three girls.

Thankfully, my selfishness quickly wore off and Fewa quickly became the centre of our family. The role of an older sister always entails some sort of responsibility. However, the role of an older sister to an autistic sibling is a great deal more work. At first, it seemed like every day with him was a challenge, especially for my mother. I remember seeing my mum helping Fewa with simple tasks like brushing his teeth, helping him to get dressed, or feeding him lunch, with each day ultimately ending in exhaustion. Our family has been so blessed to have help from carers, but no one can deny the resilience my mother has had raising Fewa. It is the thing I most respect about her.

Every day, I see him becoming more independent. Our relationship is becoming less one-sided; I can truly say that we are friends. Fewa doesn’t need anyone’s sympathy. He is the most genuine and caring person I know. This is probably why I have never seen Fewa’s autism as necessarily and totally negative, it is a unique characteristic that adds to the complexity of the person that he is.
I am not naïve or unrealistic. I certainly have some gnawing worries about the future.

Fewa will always need support of some kind. At age sixteen he still requires 24 hour help. I would say that the biggest misconception about autism is that people who have it are  socially inept geniuses  – Rainman, anyone? Yes, that is true for some autistic people, but there is a reason the official term is “autism spectrum disorder”. It is a spectrum, and it can range from children who are not able to speak at all to children who can go to normal schools.

No matter what I do, I need to build my life with Fewa in mind. My parents won’t be around forever, and his care and well-being will become the responsibility of me and my sisters. It is true that consideration for Fewa will always affect the decisions I make in my life. Despite this, Fewa is by no means a burden. These worries do not reduce the immense love I have for my brother who has brought so much joy and shown me the purest form of love. To quote The Bard, “Love sought is good, but given unsought is better.” It is Fewa’s unconditional love that has shaped me into the woman I am today – a sister, a teacher, a carer and a best friend.

EMIR OF KANO VOWS TO GET BARBER ARRESTED FOR DAMAGING PRIVATE PART OF 15-YEAR OLD BRIDE !

Emir of Kano has vowed to ensure that the Commissioner of Police in Kano state gets one Mallam Shu’aibu Wanzam, a local barber arrested for damaging the private part of 15 year old bride named Kaltume Ibrahim Mai-Kaji pictured above, during circumcision.

According to the post on the Emir's IG page, Kaltume Ibrahim Mai-Kaji and Aminu Ali, her husband, had spent several years dating before they eventually got married in 2013 in Kano State, when she clocked 15 years.

However, after they got married, Kaltume refused to allow her husband have sexual affairs with her. Anytime she was invited to bed she would decline. Ali had severally complained about his wife’s attitude to his parents, but each time, he would be told to exercise patience. He was always advised to intensify prayers and give his wife sometime to adapt to her new environment and social status. In his quest to solve the problem, Ali had tried several herbs on his wife, but all in vein. Kaltume never slept with him throughout her stay with him. After several unsuccessful attempts, Ali sought the intervention of his father-in-law, Mallam Ibrahim Mai-Kaji, who administered many herbs on her, but there was no improvement. Finally, her father invited one Mallam Shu’aibu Wanzam, a local barber, to circumcise Kultume, thinking that it would solve her problem. Unfortunately, in the process of circumcizing her, Wanzam removed a portion of her private part. As a result of this, she can no longer urinate like a normal person. Kaltume who is 19 years old now, currently urinates through a tube that was carefully strapped above her sex organ, which medical doctors confirmed was completely damaged.

Reacting to the case, the Emir said he wept when the matter was brought to his knowledge.
"When the case was reported me, i summoned the affected family and the ward head of the area to my palace on Monday, March 27, 2017. When Kaltume’s ordeal was narrated to me, I wept  and cursed those who contributed to her condition. I also sacked the ward head for allowing genital mutilation in his area of jurisdiction.  I have directed the Commissioner of Police to arrest Wanzam and whoever had a hand in this heinous crime. They will be punished. If the commissioner fails to do something, I will personally petition the I.G of Police. I will follow this case to its logical conclusion"he said

LEGISLOOTERS: LIKE IT OR NOT MAGU IS NOT GOING ANYWHERE~~ CHARLY BOY

Read his piece below...
My people. Where I wan hide my face put. Shey una don take ear dey hear the arrant nonesense and jagbagantis wey dey shelle for National Assembly. The drama, the blackmail, the clowning around of-most of the riffraffs called senators, whose sole aim of representing us, is to loot us into oblivion. Useless people elevated by the corrupt system to a position beyond their capacity.
My people can see that these bunch of irresponsibles are only down for how much they can acquire, and never about the wellbeing of the people they represent. God Biko punish bad people no remain. Nonesense.
The few good ones who are trying to hold on to some goodness in them, should hide their face in shame.

Our Mumu don do, no be till we die or till we all craze. Can you imagine? They are halting the screening of the President Electoral Commissioners of 36 States until the President sacks Mr Ibrahim Magu (acting chairman of The EFCC).

Legislooters, why must you guys insist on showing ya selves, and showing us how irresponsible most of you are, my fellow frustrated Naijas have come to the conclusion that most of the decisions you guys take is not in the interest of Nigerians but your pockets.

Like it or not, Magu is not going anywhere.
It is the Presidents prerogative to retain him or appoint someone else. The decision of the senate to reject him or sack him can only be advisory and not compulsory. There is no Law yet that binds the President to abide by any decision from these legislooters. It is there fucking constitutional duty to screen the Electoral Commissioners.

Look at all manner of 419ers, scammers, riffraffs, conmen that we allowed to invade our National Assembly. What a shame. See how we endlessly waste Nigerian revenue on a bunch of certificate forgers, armed rubbers and riffraffs. My people Shey una know say, each senator earns a minimum of 30million per month when for many of us, one solid meal a day has become luxury. We must occupy the National Assembly soon and the option to decide whether we need the senate or not is our right. The President should hurry and put this to a referendum if we can still afford to fund such expensive senate when Nigerians are poor, hungry, angry and hopeless.

Most of our yeye legislooters have demonstrated that they are a devilish cult group whose sole aim is to keep enriching themselves never minding if my people are jumping off the third mainland out of hopelessness and a stolen future. God no go punish una remain.

My fellow frustrated Nigerians, time don reach to teach these legislooters say Na we get the land. I know for a fact, that because of our docility these enemies of the Nigerian state feel they can do anyhow. But sooner than later, dem go see anyhow. If dem no take time Na their blood we go take wash the land. The battle for the heart and soul of Nigeria has begun. We no go gree this time, because our Mumu don reach final bus stop. We dey prepare because we dey come in all our glory. How many of us Una go fit kill because for most of us, the fear of death is no longer a problem because this no b life. You gangstarr have proven say nationalism no concern una.

Corruption has for long empowered the criminal minority to terrorise the silent majority. The end has come. The day is drawing near when the suffering masses of this country will seek their pound of flesh from those who have kept us poor, frustrated, hungry, angry, useless, hopeless. Pickin wey say him mama no go sleep, that pickin will know no sleep.
My people are about to metamorphosis from becoming a victim to becoming The Fear.
If our yeye leaders no fear us, change no go come.
We are coming.

NOLLYWOOD'S SEUN EGBEGBE AND HIS GANG ALWAYS TARGETS BIG MOBILE PHONE DEALERS~~ POLICE

Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Fatai Owoseni, who paraded the suspects, said Yusuf, Kazeem and Muyideen usually stayed in the car while Egbegbe goes into the phone shops to get the goods. Owoseni said as soon as Egbegbe emerged, they would drive away in the car.

He said they were also part of the plan to rob Bureau De Change operators, which eventually backfired and led to the latest uncovered stealing exploits of Egbegbe.
Owoseni said the trio were arrested based on a petition by one Kemi Johnson, who claimed she was robbed by the gang in November 2016.

Owoseni, who paraded the suspects, said they were in the habit of going to big mobile phone shops to steal. He said: “The gang always targets big mobile phone dealers.

“While Seun, the ring leader, will approach the shop, the rest will be in the vehicle so that when Seun is in possession of the phone, they drive off.”
But the suspects denied ever backing Egbegbe in his operations.

They said Seun implicated them because he was angry they did not visit him in detention.
Yusuf, Seun’s elder brother, said they were not even in talking terms, adding that he received a text message from him that he will deal with him for abandoning him at the police station.
He said: “On the day Seun was arrested at Ikeja, it was my boss that told me that he saw the story on Facebook and went to Area F to see him.
“But after then, he was charged to court and I didn’t go to see him, only for me to receive an SMS from him saying that he heard I was partying while he was languishing in prison.
“He threatened that he will use his power to deal with me. I forwarded the message to our mother.
“Two days later, police came to my house and took me to the station. They showed me a petition written by one Kemi Johnson on November 22, 2016 that Seun and his gang came to her shop to steal phone and accessories worth N10 million.
“That only Seun was arrested and later released without her consent and other members of the gang were never arrested.
“I never knew anything about the theft and the purported petition is just concocted to implicate me in a crime I know nothing about by my brother.
“He sent the same threatening message to his PA and promised that we will come and meet him where he is.
“If I am part of his gang, will I go to the police station the day he was arrested to see him?”
Muyideen said he was arrested at the gate of Ikoyi Prisons after going to visit Seun.
He said: “I went to Ikoyi Prisons to visit Seun and on my way out, I saw his girlfriend and I even wanted to join their car, but she told me no more space.
“Then suddenly I just saw police vehicle that stopped in front of me and I was asked to get in.
“I was shown a petition that I was part of a gang that robbed her shop late last year. Seun is my friend and I know him as a movie producer and music promoter.
“Even the day he was arrested at Gbagada for trying to dupe a Bureau de Change operator, I was in the car that took him to Gbagada because he told me he wanted me to accompany him to South African embassy.
“He came down along the way and we waited for him. Few minutes later, we saw him in company of a police patrol vehicle and a mallam. They were taken to Ogudu Police Station.
“The four of us remaining in the car (Lekan, Muyideen and AY) followed them to the station and that’s where the police told us their offence.
“I was not involved in any way with it. Seun just wants to implicate me in an offence I know nothing about.”

UK-BASED NIGERIAN PASTOR JAILED FOR ASSAULTING FEMALE DURING PRIVATE PRAYER SESSIONS

A UK-based pastor, believed to be originally from Nigeria, has been jailed in London for s3xually assaulting a girl and a woman during “private prayer sessions”.

Fifty-five-year-old Benjamin Egbujor, of Harold Avenue in Kent, was found guilty of s3xual assault and causing a child to engage in s3xual activity.

His 43-year-old secretary, Rose Nwenwu, of Thurlestone Road in London, was also found guilty of aiding him and of participating in sexual assault.

The Metropolitan Police said Bejamin and Rose committed the offences at their Jubilee Christian Centre (JCC) in Penarth Street in London.

“Officers in the Sexual Offences and Child Abuse Command started an investigation in January 2014 after a teenage girl disclosed to her family she had been abused by Egbujor,” the Met said.

“The victim, who was under the age of 16, said Egbujor told her she had been chosen to attend an individual prayer session.
“After being taken into his private office, the girl was forced to undress and oil was poured over her.

“As a result of further enquiries, officers also interviewed a woman in her 30s who disclosed she had also been sexually assaulted by Egbujor.

“The adult victim said Nwenwu, who worked as Egbujor’s secretary, also took part in the sexual assault by taking her clothes off and pouring oil over her,” the Met police added.
Egbujor was sentenced to three years and four months in jail while Nwenwu received a three-year jail sentence after a five-week trial at Inner London Crown Court.

They were also made subject of a Sexual Harm Prevention Order and will now have to sign the Sex Offenders’ Register.
An officer at Met’s Sexual Offences and Child Abuse Command, Detective Inspector Angela Craggs, said: “I hope this conviction serves to empower victims of sexual violence to come forward and report to police, and as a warning to offenders who think they can use their position to protect them from the law.”

Police Constable James Bell, of the Met’s Offences and Child Abuse Command, said: “Egbujor and Nwenwu preyed on their victim’s vulnerabilities, whilst satisfying their own sexual urges under the guise of private prayer.

“I fear there may be other victims who have not yet come forward and I urge them or any victim of sexual abuse to tell the police what happened,” he said.

Egbujor appears to be a popular preacher whose sermons are available on the internet, watched by many on the video sharing site YouTube.
