1960S' IN THE MAKING: NORTHERN YOUTH ASK IGBOS TO VACATE REGION ON OR BEFORE OCTOBER 1ST

Prominent Northern youth organisations on Tuesday in their meeting tagged "Kaduna Declaration"  held at the Arewa House in Kaduna state Tuesday , asked Igbos residing in the region to leave on or before October 1st this year.

According to the youth groups, their order for the Igbos to vacate the region is premised on the shut-down of major towns in south eastern part of the country on May 30th by members of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) and their sponsors.

Among the Northern youth groups present at the meeting were members of the Arewa Citizens Action for Change, Arewa Youth Consultative Forum, Arewa Youth Development Foundation, Arewa Students Forum and Northern Emancipation Network on The Igbo Persistence for Recession among others.

In a statement read out to journalists after the meeting, the spokesperson of the groups, Abdulazeez Suleiman said, the region was tired of the marriage between the Nortern and Southern region, hence the need for restructuring as been proposed by some Nigerian leaders like former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and Sen. Shehu Sani and others.

“The persistence for the actualisation of Biafra by the unruly Igbo of South-Eastern Nigeria has lately assumed another alarming twist which involved the forceful lockdown of activities and denial of other people’s right to free movement in the South-East by the rebel Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) and its overt and covert sponsors. This latest action and similar confrontational conducts which amount to a brutal encroachment on the rights of those termed as non-indigenous people residing and doing lawful businesses in those areas illegally demarcated and defined as Biafra by the Igbo, are downright unacceptable and shall no longer be tolerated”.

Speaking further, he said:
"The Igbo people of the South-East, without remorse for the carnage they wrought on the nation in the 1960s, are today boldly reliving those sinister intentions connoted by the Biafran agitation that led to the very first bloody insurrection in Nigeria’s history. Emboldened by the apparent indifference of the Nigerian authorities, the Igbo secessionist tendency is widening in scope and action at every stage, with adverse effects on the law-abiding people of other regions residing in or passing through the East, while the Igbo leaders and elders by their utterances and direct action or inaction appear to support and encourage it.

This is happening irrespective of the undisputable fact that, Igbos have done and are doing more damage to our collective nationhood than any other ethnic group; being responsible for the first violent interference with democracy in Nigeria resulting in a prolonged counter-productive chain of military dictatorship. It is on record that since the inception of the current democratic dispensation, the Igbos have shown and maintained open contempt and resentment for the collective decision expressed by majority of Nigerians at various stages via generally acceptable democratic processes.
While these provocative acts of aggression persist and grow in dimension with each new move, leaders of the North whose people are at the receiving end of the threats, appear helplessly unperturbed. Without pursuing a resolute action-plan, these northern leaders have adopted and have been dragging its people into a pitifully pacifist position in order to sustain an elusive national cohesion that has long been ridiculed by the Igbos. From today, June 6, 2017, when this proclamation is signed, the North, a critical player in the Nigerian project, hereby declares that it will no longer be disposed to coexisting with the Igbos and shall take definite steps to end the partnership by pulling out of the current federal arrangement".

A Pastor has been arrested by the Abia state police command for running a baby factory and an illegal medical centre in his church. NAIJ.com gathered that the pastor identified as Christopher Adebanya Tochukwu ran the baby factory at his church in Faulks Road Aba area of Abia state.

Commissioner of Police in Umuahia, Adeleye Oyebade, who confirmed the arrest on Monday, June 5, revealed that the police carried out the arrest after the command received a tip on the activities of the pastor. Oyebade disclosed that a team of officers stormed the church premises after proper investigation was done to confirm the tip.

He also revealed that five pregnant girls were rescued from the church premises which doubled as a baby factory. According to Oyebade, one of the rescued pregnant girls revealed that she was allegedly defiled by the suspect while another claimed that the pastor attempted to defile her.

One of the girls alleged that her two month old baby was taken from her by the pastor’s wife who was nowhere to be found during the operation. Meanwhile, a newborn baby was also rescued from the factory and taken to an orphanage for custody.

4 NIGERIANS ACCUSED OF CORRUPTION IN SWITZERLAND IN FRESH TROUBLE IN NIGERIA

Three former top officials of the Nigerian Ports Authority and a former special adviser to President Goodluck Jonathan, named in a corruption scandal in Switzerland, are now to face fresh probe in Nigeria following the conviction of the foreign firm that allegedly gave them more than $2.7 million.
Dredging International Services (Cyprus) Ltd was in early May fined one million Swiss Francs and asked to refund 36 million Swiss Francs illegal profit after it was indicted for allegedly making illicit payments to a former Managing Director of the NPA, Adebayo Sarumi; a former Managing Director of NPA’s Eastern Ports, Felix Ovbude; a former Executive Director of Finance at the NPA, Abba Murtala Mohammed; and Daniel Afam-Obi, a former executive assistant to Sullivan Akachukwu Nwankpo who was ex-President Goodluck Jonathan’s special adviser on technical matters.
Investigators believe Mr. Afam-Obi acted on behalf of Mr. Nwankpo.

While Messrs Sarumi, Ovbude and Mohammed allegedly collectively received $2.6 million in kickbacks, Mr. Afam-Obi was said to have been paid $157,000 for unknown reasons.
Another $18 million was passed to companies in which some yet unknown Nigerian officials have interests.

A top official of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission told this reporter Tuesday that the Acting Chairman of the anti-graft agency, Ibrahim Magu, early Tuesday instructed some of his staff to pore through the agency’s records and dig out relevant files on the matter.

“If those who gave the bribe have been convicted, we will have to do something to bring those who allegedly received the bribe to book,” the official said. “We will see what we already have and what more work needs to be done.

"WHAT MY DAD DID WHEN A PASTOR ASKED HIM TO SOW HIS NEW CAR INTO HIS LIFE"~~YOMI FASH-LANSO

Actor Yomi Fash-Lanso , has taken to Instagram to share what his dad did when a Pastor told him to sow his new car into his life.

Here’s what the actor said his dad taught him, it’s quite hilarious;

“When I was a kid, my dad bought a new car and drove us to church one Sunday. It was a prophetic service and our pastor was being used by God that day to deliver people from poverty.

Suddenly, our pastor looked at my dad and said, “Mr. Alamu, God is set to bless you” my mum jumped up and shouted excitedly, “Amen!!!” My dad was excited too.

The pastor then came closer, placed his hand on my dad’s head and prayed for him. As our pastor turned to climb the altar, the spirit of God told him something.

He stopped, looked at my dad and said, “Mr. Alamu did you buy a new car last week?” “Yes sir” my dad responded with much surprise on his face. Then our pastor said; God said I should tell you to sow your CAR KEY into my life”

I was shocked that my dad did not argue with the pastor, he just put his hand in his pocket, brought out the car key and gave it to our pastor.
Chai… Aiyeeee ooooo…Mogbe

After about 5 minutes, my dad stood up, went outside the church, he didn’t even wait till the end of the service. I could see him entering Okada going home. “He must be very worried” I reasoned in utter fear and confusion.
After a while he returned to church with the SPARE KEY of his car and drove the car back to the house.
I was so stunned at what I was seeing.
So when I asked him why he acted that way he said: “Oluwayomi” always use your brain, the pastor asked for the KEY and NOT the CAR”! Thanking you so much my BABA for impacting knowledge.
