POLICE ARE CLOSING IN ON EVANS' WIFE...WANTED FOR VITAL INFORMATION

Determined to catch and quiz suspected Nigerian notorious kidnapper Chukwudumeme Onwuamadike aka Evans’ wife, Mrs Uchenna Precious Onwuamadike, detectives attached to the Inspector General of Police Special Intelligence Response Team (IRT), have synergised with Ghanaian said sources.

According to the sources, the synergy became imperative after Uchenna, along with her children bolted from her their building in Ghana on hearing that IRT operatives had arrested her husband.

The sources urged Uchenna to come out from hiding, stressing that no harm would be done to her. She was only wanted for questioning and to ensure that she was not part of Evans’ operations.

The need to quiz Uchenna became vital after Evans claimed to have given her some of his ill-gotten loot to keep. The woman, had, however admitted to have received only N20million from her husband.

It was also learnt that some handpicked policemen might have to move down to Ghana because of the case.

One of the sources said: “Our IGP and the number one policeman in Ghana have discussed. The two countries are now working together. Mrs Evans is in hiding, but from all indications, she would soon be picked. She ran away from her former abode and is now hiding somewhere.

“The truth however, is that police are not after her. She has children to look after. The police just want to ask her some questions about Evans. We are building evidences against Evans and trying to get more exhibits. We also want to recover some of the ransom money, which Evans said he gave to her to keep.  She wouldn’t be detained because of the children. Yes, she would be detained if we have evidence that she participated in any of Evans’ operations.”

Speaking on the international police collaboration, another source said: “Nigerian Police will soon visit Ghana. People close to her should advise her to come out of hiding and clarify some issues.”

Meanwhile, IRT operatives have recovered two passports from Evans. One is a Ghanaian passport with a fictitious name of Asare Nelson.

The second is a Nigerian passport with the name Onwuamadike Chukwudumeme Somto. Whether Evans has other countries passports is yet unknown, but he had always insisted that he had only travelled to Ghana.

New Telegraph news on Thursday, had exclusively reported that Evans had different fake names which he uses in different states, creating confusion among policemen hunting for him.

It took a while for policemen hunting him in different states to realise that the names belonged to one character.

A source said: “The suspect uses different names in each state he operates. In Edo State, he is called Sunny, Port Harcourt, Richard, in Lagos at his magodo estate, they call him George. Among his gang members, they know him as Evans and in Anambra State; they know him as Somto, while his four mistresses know him as Mike. Policemen men in different states were busy, running up and down, hunting for different men, unaware that they were hunting for the single man.  He did all that to outsmart security agents. He is extremely intelligent.”

SOUTH AFRICAN CHURCH BARS BLACK PEOPLE FROM WORSHIPING

A South African Church; The Afrikaanse Protestante Kerk church in Orania has barred blacks from attending service as the church on Sunday disallowed two black journalists from entering.

They told the journalists “the church is only for whites”.
According to Africa Review, the journalists were on an assignment and decided to attend a Sunday service before returning to Pretoria but they were intercepted by a church leader, identified as Mr Theunis Oukamp, at the door who said allowing black people into an all-white church would be violating the “rights of Afrikaans people. I am now in a difficult situation. You know that Orania is only for white people, this is why we are here.  You must understand I know you want to serve God and everything but I have to protect the rights of Afrikaans people. So I cannot let you in, you guys can go to any other church, but this one is only for white people'.

Orania, the city where the church is located is an Afrikaans-only South African town located along the banks of the Orange River, in the arid Karoo region of the Northern Cape Province.

The president of the South Africa Union Council of Independent Churches, Archbishop Modiri Patrick Shole, expressed shock that there was still segregation in the body of Christ, 23 years after apartheid ended, he said,
'we don’t discriminate in church because before God we are one whether white or black. I find it weird that we still have discrimination in the church".

"WHY I DON'T OPERATE IN YORUBA STATES"~~EVANS

The Nigerian suspected notorious kidnapper, Chukwudumeme Onwuamadike aka Evans, yesterday, revealed why he doesn’t operate in south west.

According to Evans, he prefers to operate in Enugu, Abia, Lagos and Edo states. He said he is from Anambra State and as such, didn’t like carrying out robbery operations or kidnapping in his state.

He said: “Police tracking located me in Anambra State, but it was not because I committed robbery or even kidnapped anyone there. If I kidnapped someone in Lagos, I sometimes go to Anambra State to collect the ransom, just to avoid detention.”
Challenged that he once carried out simultaneous robbery operation in Oyo State in 2010, where three banks were robbed, Evans shrugged his shoulders in repulsion for supposed Yoruba states.

He vehemently said: “No! I have never operated in any Yoruba state, let alone Oyo State. I have never operated there; Lagos is my state. I mostly operated from Lagos. Moreover, I also didn’t like operating in Yoruba states because I don’t know my way around there. I don’t know the terrains. It’s not right to go where you don’t know, except you have someone that can lead you.”

Yesterday, the Force Public Relations Officer (FPRO), Mr. Jimoh Moshood, said investigations into the alleged crimes against Evans and his gang members, had reached advanced stages.

He added that the judicial process for his conviction or otherwise, will "soon" begin before a court of competent jurisdiction.

Moshood said: “Evans is going to be taken to court very soon, on completion of investigation."

When asked where the billionaire suspect will be tried, in view of the fact that he had committed the alleged offences in different states,

Moshood responded: "He will be tried before a court of competent jurisdiction."

EUROPEANS COUNTRIES DEPORT NIGERIANS IN LEG CHAINS

Three European nations, Sweden, Norway and Spain, have deported 29 Nigerians and two Togolese nationals.

The deportees, 27 Nigerian males, two females and two Togolese males, arrived Nigeria early Tuesday morning in leg chains.

Their flight, which landed at the Murtala Muhammad Airport, Lagos, at 6.45 a.m., was operated by Privilege Style aircraft, with registration number EC-IZO.

An airport official said the 29 males were chained at the ankles because they were considered huge and could pose a threat to the immigration and police officials in the aircraft.

“I can authoritatively confirm that the males were kept in chains out of fear that they might resist their arrest and deportation, but they removed the chains a few hours into the journey”, the source told Thisday.

“Other than the fact they were unwilling to return to their country, the deportees were very sad because of the ill-treatment they experienced in the hands of the officials

Some of the deported Nigerians had been held since last year and were prevented from communicating with their relatives and friends until it was time to bring them back to Nigeria.

Confirming the deportation, spokesman of the Lagos Airport Police Command, DSP Joseph Alabi, said the deportees were received by officers of the Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS), National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP) and the police.

He said others at the airport to receive them were officials the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) and the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA).

Alabi added that nine of the persons deported for alleged drug-related offences, were handed over to the NDLEA, while two others who were deported for criminal offences were handed over to the police.

Alabi said the remaining deportees who allegedly committed immigration-related offences, were profiled and allowed to leave for their respective destinations.

EVANS HAS REVEALED THE IDENTITY OF HIS AMMUNITION SUPPLIER

Security agencies in Bayelsa State have started an investigation into the identity of a man named Suoyo whom Evans the Kidnapper mentioned as one of his gang members in the state. In one of his numerous confessional statements, Evans the kidnapper said Suoyo is one of the most active members of his gang, who had the job of buying arms and ammunition, for their operations.
He said:
“When Suoyo, who lives in Bayelsa State, called me and expressed fears, I also assured him that nothing was going to happen. I told him I was making plans for another operation and needed him to go into the creeks and buy a new set of arms and ammunition”.
During the meeting in the Government House which had Governor Seriake Dickson in attendance, the security commanders were said to be certain that that the Suoyo mentioned by Evans was the same person who was recently arrested by the operatives of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in the state.

According to NSCDC, Suoyo Dickson was arrested and paraded on Thursday by the state Commandant of NSCDC, Mr. Desmond Agu, in connection with the recent attack on a pipeline which belong to the Nigerian Agip Oil Company (NAOC).
Suoyo who is also knows as Hustler, reportedly led a gang of vandals that attacked the Agip pipeline at Lagosgbene, Southern Ijaw Local Government Area of the state on May 30, 2017.

RIRUALISTS' DEN DISCOVERED NEAR ONDO HOUSE OF ASSEMBLY

An uncompleted two-storey building believed to be a den of kidnappers and ritualists was on Monday discovered in Alagbaka area of Akure, the Ondo State capital.

The building is said to be owned by a retired civil servant in the state,is located a few meters away from the Ondo State House of Assembly and it is behind the popular government-owned events centre, the Gani Fawehinmi Arcade.

The discovery was made by the residents of the area who suspected that some men were always inside the building performing numerous secret activities on a daily basis.

Punch quoted a resident of the area as saying that the building has been abandoned for a long time and many residents of the area did not know the owner.

He said, “The suspects thought the gunshot was from the policemen who came for them. They quickly rushed out, but some commercial motorcycle riders in the area helped us to chase and arrest four of them, whom we later handed over to the police.”

The source added that it was the timely intervention of policemen that saved the suspects from being lynched by the angry residents of the area.

Reacting to the shocking discovery, the Ondo State Police Public Relations Officer, Mr. Femi Joseph, said many suspects have been arrested in connection with the matter.

Joseph said, “We have arrested quite a number of them and we are currently interrogating them. It is after the interrogation and investigation that we can conclude whether they are ritualists or not.”
