ROBBERS TORMENTS LAGOS RESIDENTS IN THE WAKE OF COVID-19 (VIDEO)
In the last few days and up till this early morning , there's been reports of robbers taking advantage of the lockdown order issued by President Muhammadu Buhari in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, to loot shops and also rob some households.
The reoccurring incident has pushed residents into becoming vigilantes, as they also accused the police of portraying a lackadaisical attitude in curbing the escalated crime rate in the state. videos below:

POLICE OFFICER CAUGHT COUNTING MONEY AFTER ALLEGED 'EXTORTING' [VIDEO)
A police officer caught in a video going viral on Twitter after he allegedly extorted 40,000 Naira from a man who defied the lockdown order so he could get food. Taloju Martins, the SO of Ago Police station in Lagos State, is seen counting Naira notes that he allegedly forced the man to pay after he was caught outside on Friday, 10, April 2020 at Ago.
The Lagos State Police Command announced his arrest on Twitter, writing: "The Police Officer from Ago Division in the trending video has been identified and arrested. He will be subjected to internal disciplinary proceedings known as Orderly room trial. #SayNOtoImpunity #BeSafe.
The video was widely shared and the officer has now been arrested. Watch the video below;

BABATUNDE GBADAMOSI AND NAIRA MARLEY TENDER APOLOGY LETTERS TO GOVT FOR. VIOLATING ORDER
Babatunde Gbadamos and Azeez Fashola aka Naira Marley , have tendered apology letters to Lagos state governor,for violating the social distancing order of the state when they attended the house party organised by Funke Akindele and her hubby, JJCSkillz, on Sunday April 5.
Recall that Naira Marley, Gbadamosi and his wife, Folashade, were arraigned before the Magistrate Court 1 on Wednesday April 8 by the state government but the charges against them were dropped on condition that they would apologise to the President and the state governor. They were also mandated to sign an undertaking to comply with all regulations relating to COVID-19 pandemic, and also to go on self-isolation for 14 days in order to protect others that they may come in contact with.
All three defendants have since tendered their apology letters to the state governor. See the letters below.
FG RELASES NAMES OF NIGERIANS WHO DIED OF COVID-19 ABROAD
The Federal government has released names of Nigerians who died from Coronavirus abroad.
Abike Dabiri-Erewa, chairman of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM) put a list of Nigerians who have died from the virus in a video she shared on Twitter in their honour.
She wrote;

FG SUMMONED CHINESE AMBASSADOR OVER MALTREATMENT OF NIGERIANS IN CHINA
The Federal Government has summoned the Chinese Ambassador to Nigeria, Zhou Pingjian, over reports of maltreatment of Nigerians in China.
In the last two days, Nigerians in China have been posting videos on social media, alleging maltreatment in Guangzhou area of China.
The Federal Government has summoned the Chinese Ambassador to Nigeria, Mr Zhou Pingjian over reports of maltreatment in China.
Minister of Foreign Affairs, Geoffrey Onyeama on Thursday met with Mr Pingjian over the issue. In a tweet, Mr Onyeama said “Invited the Chinese Ambassador to Nigeria, Mr Zhou Pingjian to communicate Nigeria’s extreme concern at allegations of maltreatment of Nigerians in Guangzhou, China and called for immediate Chinese Govt. intervention,” he tweeted.
