22 YEAR OLD MOTHER DETAILS HOW AND WHY SHE KILLED HER 1YEAR OLD BABY (VIDEO)

A 22-year-old lady  identified as a Adisa Funmilola who drowned her one-year-old baby in her apartment at Plot 22, Gowon Estate, Iyana Ipaja, Lagos, because the child prevented her from going to university to study law.

According to Adisa, one Folarin Yusuf impregnated her while they were both attending a Joint Admission and Matriculation Board, JAMB, class at City of Success in Abeokuta, Ogun State capital. She said Folarin denied paternity, requesting that pregnancy be aborted.

Adisa said she agreed to have an abortion but her father heard about her pregnancy and told her to keep the baby.

Along the line, she gained admission into the Obafemi Awolowo University, OAU, Ile-Ife, Osun State, to study Law, but had to defer the admission because of the baby and this decision didn't go well with her.

Adisa who showed no remorse for her action, described in details how she drowned her baby

“I killed my baby and reported myself to the police. I filled a bucket with water, dipped her inside and held her head until she died. “I did it for three reasons. First, I didn’t have the financial might to take care of her. Second, I was tired and frustrated.''

“But the most painful reason is that she deprived me of actualising my dream of becoming a lawyer.'' she said

''I made sure that she was no longer moving before I went to the police station to report myself. They did not believe me and thought that I was mad. It was when they finally followed me home that they realized that what I said was true. I reported myself no one arrested me,”

“I would have aborted the pregnancy, but my father advised me against it. The person that is responsible for the pregnancy rejected me. I live with my sister, who has no job and I am also not working.” She added

Asked why she didn't take the child to an orphanage home or put the child up for adoption and if she was aware of the magnitude of her offence, Adisa said;

“ I wanted to drop her at the church but I realized that it was only death that will free me from that child. I am not in school because of her and even if I tell my father, he will also force me to stay and take care of the baby. My life will be ruined. “

“If they kill me no problem. The most important thing is that I have killed the baby and I am free from that baby. I don’t care.” She said

A woman who is reportedly Adisa's elder sister said that there is a possibility that Adisa is mentally ill. She said she was at home on the day of the incident, but never knew what her sister was up to until policeman stormed their apartment.

“Yes, we live together. I was in my bedroom while she was in hers. I didn’t know when she drowned the baby.

“I suspect she is mentally deranged because our mother had a similar mental issue before she died. I believe she inherited it because I cannot understand why she did it.”

The suspect was taken to the command headquarters in Ikeja, on Tuesday, May 12, from where the Commissioner of Police, CP Hakeem Odumosu, directed that she should be transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department, SCIID, Yaba Panti for further investigation and possible evaluation of her mental health.

In a video interview with Punch, Adisa gave a vivid description of how she drowned the little girl.

She also gave reasons for her action. She said she was ashamed of being a single mother. She also said being a single mother affected her education. She added that the fact that the father of her child played no role in her life didn't help matters.

STEPHEN KESHI:"HIS HEALTH WASN'T GREAT IN BRAZIL"~~odemwingie

Nigeria  international, Osaze Odemwingie has made some startling conversations about the health status of the late legendary Nigerian coach Stephen Keshi during the Brazil 2014 World Cup

Keshi, who won the Africa Cup of Nations as player and coach with the Super Eagles, passed away on June 7, 2016 after a reported heart attack at his home in Benin City, Nigeria.

Odemwingie said in an Instagram Live  conversation with the Super Eagles Media Team.

"It's not to prove who is boss, who is not. It's national interest and I believe I brought some value to the team in Brazil, we put those differences aside,"

"And actually after that we were in touch, he'll give me a call out of the blue, he'll just call to say hello and say he heard about my injury and then checked on me when I had surgery."

"Of course it shocked me as well he passed away but you could see his health wasn't great even in Brazil. He was out of breath a lot, he needed to take breaks, he wasn't so much full of energy on the sidelines.

"Sometimes he stands up to pass some messages, he wasn't looking full of energy then, unfortunately.

"He's a legend in the country, he's done a great job, put any sentiment aside he got the job done and that's what counts a lot in sports."

EXPOSED:HOW BUSINESSMAN WAS FRAMED-UP AFTER CATCHING A TOP POLICE OFFICER ON BED WITH HIS WIFE

CSP Celestine Umeh

Mr Clement Etim, a businessman, on Wednesday said that his life and those of two others were in danger.

Etim, who spoke from his hiding, alleged that some Policemen were seriously hunting for him, his cousin, Oko Edet and his 15-year-old houseboy, Christopher Bassey.

Chatting with our reporter, he said: “I shouldn’t be speaking with you at all. I can’t say much for now, but my lawyer, Effiong knows everything about this matter. My life and those of my cousin and house help are in danger. Policemen are looking for us. Right now, I don’t even have a place to stay, let alone to sleep.”

According to SaharaReporters who uncovered how a Chief Superintendent of Police currently serving with the Akwa Ibom State Police Command, Mr Celestine Umeh, arrested, detained and framed-up a businessman, Mr Clement Asuquo Etim, and two others on trumped-up charges after he was caught in bed with the wife of Mr Etim in Uyo, the state capital.

It was gathered that for long, a Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP), Celestine Umeh, had been having a torrid affair with Etim’s wife, Lawrentia, a mother of two.

Etim was not aware of the affair until neighbours whispered into his ears. On April 27, Etim deliberately returned home, when he was not supposed to, and caught his wife in bed with Umeh.
Etim reportedly said: “Whenever I travel to Calabar where I do my business, I usually receive reports that my wife invites her lover, CSP Umeh, to our matrimonial home to spend the night. They were having sexual affair in my house not minding the presence of my home help, a boy of 15 years old. On getting home in the evening last Monday, I caught the CSP with my wife in bed.”

According to the businessman, he and his cousin, Edet, saw the lovers in his bed. When Umeh saw the men, he allegedly ran out, followed by Lawrentia. It was further mentioned that in Umeh’s desperation to escape from the embarrassing situation, he bolted, leaving his Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV).

Etim said that he was shocked when the CSP, along with Lawrentia, returned with policemen and arrested him, Edet and Bassey. The three suspects were marched to the Akwa Ibom State Police Command.
When they got to the command, they were alleged of assaulting a senior police officer and stealing his phones. Etim further alleged that he was subsequently tortured by the Officer-in-Charge of General Investigation, a Superintendent of Police (SP) identified as Ekene Nwosu and other policemen.

Etim was detained from April 27 to 30th before he was granted bail. But rather than go home, he went in search of treatment because he was bleeding from the ear, allegedly caused by torture.

When he eventually got to his house after being discharge from hospital, he found it empty of all furniture. He was briefed by neighbours that his wife with some men came to clear the apartment.
A human right lawyer, Inibehe Effiong, who had taken up the battle on behalf of Etim and others in search of justice, told our reporter that since the police couldn’t locate Etim, who went for treatment and was hospitalised, they dragged Edet and Bassey to court.

One of the charges states: “That you Clement Asuquo Etim, Patrick Okon Edet, and Christopher Bassey Effiong, on the 27th day of April, 2020 at Aba-ukpo Estate, in the Uyo Magisterial District, unlawfully assaulted one Celestine Umeh, a Chief Superintendent of Police, by smashing a bottle on his head which caused him harm. Thereby committed an offence punishable under Section 364 of the Criminal Code, Cap.38. Vol.2, of Akwa Ibom State of Nigeria, 2000.”

Effiong said: “The Police are still trying to re-arrest Etim. We understood that his phone is being tracked. When the matter was taken to court, Etim was in hospital, he was not among the suspects that were arraigned. It was his cousin and househelp that were arraigned. His life is still in danger. Right now as I’m speaking with you, he doesn’t have a place to sleep. As at yesterday (Tuesday), Police Complaint Unit said the matter was being investigated, but we have not been contacted.”

Etim further told the reporter: “My life is important to me. I don’t want to die, that’s why I’m in hiding. I want government to get involved in this matter and carry out an exhaustive investigation supported by my lawyer. It’s only investigation that will make them find out the truth. The matter had not been investigated at all. The Policemen arrested my 15-year-old houseboy and forced to claim 18 years, I don’t know why.”

Speaking with SaharaReporters over the matter, human rights lawyer, Inibehe Effiong, whose law firm is representing Etim, his cousin and home help, said that the conduct of CSP Umeh, SP Ekene and other police officers at the Akwa Ibom State Command involved in the case was reprehensible and deserves immediate disciplinary action from the Inspector-General of Police and Commissioner of Police in Akwa Ibom State.

He said, “I am alarmed by what these police officers ha
ve done to this man, his cousin and home help. It is reprehensible, unprofessional and damaging to the image of the Nigeria Police Force. This is one of the most repulsive cases of abuse of the police institution. Where lies the hope for Nigeria if this kind of atrocious and scandalous action is allowed to go unpunished?

“It is more troubling that the police resorted to filing a criminal charge against them in their desperation to cover-up their illegal and abominable conduct. We cannot allow this to go unpunished.”

Effiong has vowed to pursue the case to its logical conclusion until justice was done to Etim, his cousin and home help.

The Akwa Ibom Police Public Relations Officer, CSP Nnudam Fredrick, when contacted, claimed not to be aware of the matter but promised to confirm if the state had such matter.
