Pastor Sylvester Ofor, 35-year-old pastor and founder of Floodgates of Heaven International Ministries, was charged with first-degree murder in the slaying of his wife, Barbara Tommey, outside of the Navy Federal Credit Union by the Mall at Millenia.
The story of this trigger happy pastor is no longer news, the truth of the matter is that pastors are human being too !
According to a Facebook user,Jaiyeola Ajasa, Depression is real! Mental illness is real! Domestic Violence is real even in Pastors homes!". He went further to say ...human beings who have real issues like everyone else! Who do we talk to when we are discouraged? Who prays for us when we are overwhelmed?
Ofori, was charged with first-degree murder in the slaying of his wife, Barbara Tommey, outside of the Navy Federal Credit Union by the Mall at Millenia.
Tommey, 27, “was sho tbefore 9 a.m. Tuesday near the front door of the business by her husband, Sylvester Ofori,” Orlando Police said in a brief statement Tuesday night.
Tommey was the assistant manager of the credit union, where she worked for more than five years, according to a Linkedin profile. It said she graduated from the University of Central Florida in 2015 with a bachelor’s degree in finance. The profile said she was working on a master’s degree in strategic communication and leadership at Maryville University of Saint Louis.
The Facebook page for Floodgates of Heaven International Ministries,Ofori's church has 5,552 followers. His page has 61,756 followers.
“I truly believe that every single person has to go through something that absolutely destroys them so they can figure out who they really are,” says an August 23 post on his page.
Its Facebook page says the ministry is dedicated to helping those who need to increase their “prayer life.”
“We believe that prayer changes things & the bible says that the prayer of a righteous man availeth much,” the page says. “We are praying that God's will be done on earth as it is in heaven.”
“He attributes his zeal for God to his parents who instilled the fear of the Lord in the hearts of all five of their children,” his bio reads.
With all this attributes,what really went wrong in his life.....?

NIGERIA I HAIL THEE: FIRE GUTTED ONDO INEC OFFICE
Barely one month to the governorship election in the state,Fire has gutted the Ondo State Office of the Independent National Electoral Commission on Thursday, destroying Smart Card Readers.
The Chief Press Secretary to the INEC chairman, Rotimi Oyekanmi, confirmed the incident in a short statement titled ‘Fire at INEC office in Akure’. He noted that the commission would commence an immediate investigation into the cause of the fire.
He said,
“Fire broke out today (Thursday) September 10, 2020, at the Ondo State Head Office of the Independent National Electoral Commission in Akure.
“The inferno, which gutted the container housing Smart Card Readers, started at 7.30 pm. Men of the Fire Service are however currently containing the fire.
“INEC National Commissioner and Chairman of its Information and Voter Education Committee, Festus Okoye, who is in Ondo State in connection with preparations for the Ondo State Governorship election scheduled for October 10, 2020, rushed to the office about 8 pm.
“The Administrative Secretary of the State, Mr. Popoola, and some staff of the commission are also there.

PASSENGER ARRESTED WITH 2886 ATM CARD AT LAGOS AIRPORT
The Nigerian Customs Service (NCS) Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA) command on Thursday intercepted and handed over a Dubai-bound passenger with 2,886 Automated Teller Machine (ATM) card to the Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC).
The Deputy Controller of customs in-charge of the MMIA, Abdulmumin Bako in a media briefing on Thursday explained that four Subscriber Identification Module (SIM) cards were also intercepted with the suspect.
According to DC Bako, “The suspect, one Ishaq Abubakar with Passport Number A08333717 from Kano State was intercepted when he was travelling to Dubai via Emirates Evacuation flight.

“At about 1145 hours on Aug. 22, at the departure hall gate ’B’ of the MMIA, Abubakar with Passport Number A08333717 from Kano State travelling to Dubai via Emirates flight was intercepted with 2,863 ATM Cards and 4 sim Cards by our officers on duty.
“The ATM cards and sim cards were carefully concealed in a noodles carton by the suspect.
“The suspect claimed that one Mr Musliu was assigned to him to facilitate his movement through the checks at the airport by one Mr Suleiman but the concealment was revealed due to the due diligence of our Officers who insisted on conducting a physical examination.”
He added that the suspect and the items would be handed over to the EFCC for further investigation as directed by the Comptroller General of Customs.
Bako pointed out that the suspect claimed that he was due for evacuation and had bought an evacuation flight ticket for his use.
The Customs Legal Adviser, Mr Smart Akande noted that handing over the suspect to EFCC showcased inter-agency collaboration as Customs does not have the jurisdiction to prosecute but to arrest.
“What we have here is the case file, ATM cards and the noodles used in concealing the ATM cards and we are handing them over to EFCC for further investigation and prosecution,” the Customs Legal Adviser added.
KADUNA ASSEMBLY APPROVES CASTRATION AS PUNISHMENT FOR RAPIST
The Kaduna State House of Assembly has approved castration as punishment for those convicted of rape.
This follows the passage of a bill to amend the Kaduna state penal court law, 2017, by the lawmakers.
The assembly, which announced the development via its Twitter handle yesterday, said the bill was passed into law on Wednesday.
“The Bill Recommend total Castration for Rapist in the State,” the assembly tweeted.
TheCable observed that the tweet was deleted shortly after it was posted but the majority leader of the assembly also tweeted about the development.
“A bill to amend the Kaduna State Penal Court Law No.5 of 2017 has yesterday 09/09/2020 been pass into Law by @Kadlegislature. The Bill Recommend total Castration for Rapist in the State,” the tweet read.
Currently, the state penal law provides for 21 years of imprisonment for rape of an adult and life imprisonment in the case of a child.
