COURT ORDERS SENATOR ELISHA ABBO TO PAY N50 MILLION DAMAGES FEE TO THE WOMAN HE SLAPPED AT S3X TOY SHOP

A Federal High Court in Abuja has ordered Senator Elisha Abbo “Slapping Senator” to pay N50 million damages fee to the woman he slapped in a s*x toy shop, few months ago.

Disclosing this on Monday, Lugard Tare-Otu and Nelson who identified themselves as Warmate’s lawyers, confirmed the situation.

Recalls that Elisha Abbo who happens to be the youngest Senator in Nigeria, assaulted the owner of the shop he went to purchase some s*x toys by slapping and accusing her of poising her Air Conditioner.

This was because one of the ladies that accompanied him felt sick immediatly they entered the shop and she started throwing up.

The shop owner however replied the senator by saying that if the air conditioner was contaminated, others in the shop would have also taken ill.

This reply was said to have angered Abbo, and the two began exchanging words over the matter. The senator was said to have called a policeman who he then ordered to arrest the shop owner.

The shop owner quickly called her father to inform him that Abbo had called police over the matter and that she was about to be taken away. The shop owner’s friend who had been standing nearby tried to intervene by pleading with the second man to take things easy but was slapped repeatedly by the lawmaker.

Senator Abbo however tendered an apology to the woman, days after the assault. He mentioned that regardless of the provocation, his action did not portray him a good ambassador of the Senate, the PDP and the youths of Nigeria.

In his words;

“It is with a deep sense of remorse and responsibility that I, Senator Ishaku Abbo profoundly apologize to all Nigerians, the Senate, the Peoples Democratic Party, my family as well as our mothers- the Nigerian women. “I personally apologize to Babra (the lady he reportedly assaulted) and her family for my action which has brought immense discomfort to our body polity.”

“l have never been known or associated with such actions in the past. Regardless of what transpired prior to my expression of anger, I am sincerely sorry and plead that all men and women of good conscience should have the heart to forgive me. To err is human, to forgive is divine.”

“To the Church of God everywhere in the world, I am sorry. As an Ambassador of Christ, much is expected of me. My family and religious upbringing do not give approval to such conduct and for this, as a leader, I seek forgiveness before God and all those who feel offended by my action. “

“Indeed, this episode has taught me a very great lesson both as a private citizen and a public officer particularly as a Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria upon whom public confidence is reposed.”

MAN CONVERT DAUGHTER TO HIS 'WIFE' AFTER THE DEATH OF HIS WIFE

A 40-year-old man, simply identified  Gbenga has been arrested at the Baruwa area of Ipaja, Lagos State for converting his daughter to his ‘wife’ after the death of his wife.

It was gathered that Gbenga has been sexually violating his daughter for three years. He started the act when she was 13 years old and she’s now 15.

Gbenga, who works with electricity Distribution Company, was reported to the police by a member of his community, who overheard the girl’s maternal uncle, identified as Atanda, screaming about the discovered abomination.

It was further gathered that before the intervention of the survivor’s uncle, she had earlier reported to their landlord about her father violating her.

The landlord didn’t report the matter to the police, but only confronted Gbenga, urging him to desist from his evil acts against his daughter. The landlord further tried to make him know the consequences of his action.

In spite of the landlord’s display of anger and warning to Gbenga, the latter continued violating his daughter, to the extent that he started taking her to work whenever he was on night duty.

The secretary, Advocates for Children and Vulnerable Persons Network (ACVPN), Mr. Ebenezer Omejalile, while reacting to the matter, said: “At least my submission last year has come to pass that we are indeed dealing with a cancerous situation. So unfortunate we weren't assertive enough to read in between the lines.”

APPARENT CRACKS IN NIGERIA MAY LEAD TO BREAK-UP IF NOT ADEQUATELY MANAGED

Vice-President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo has warned that Nigeria may break up if efforts are not made to address the "existing cracks."

He gave the warning while speaking at an interdenominational church service to commemorate Nigeria’s 60th Independence anniversary on Sunday, September 27.

The Vice-President who was represented by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha, at the National Ecumenical Centre, where the anniversary service was held, said efforts to mend the crack might be opposed, but such opposition would be defeated with focus and consistent prayers.

Making reference to the biblical story of how Nehemiah championed the rebuilding of the broken walls of Jerusalem, Vice President Osinbajo said

“The story should be a challenge to every Christian in Nigeria. It’s only that kind of Nehemiah’s love that will make us, as Nigerians, to rebuild the cracks we have in our walls today.

For us in Nigeria, Nehemiah should be taken as a metaphor for those Nigerians who either reside in Nigeria or outside, to cry to God to use the abandoned opportunities in Nigeria to address our challenges of nation-building.

Fortunately for us, our walls are not yet broken, but there are apparent cracks that could lead to a break if not adequately addressed.

Nehemiah started with fervent prayers, seeking the face of God and pleaded with his king to allow him to return to Jerusalem to rebuild the broken walls because the wall signifies peace, security, contentment and prosperity. It represents the essence of the state of the nation.

There’s an urgent need for a Nehemiah in our country, Nigeria, today. And like Nehemiah faced opposition in his efforts to rebuild the walls, any Nigerian that desires to rebuild Nigeria must also be ready to face stiffer opposition which will come in torrents. It can only be diffused by consistent focus and prayers.”
