WARNING: NIGERIA MUST RESTRUCTURE TO FORESTALL POSSIBLE BREAKUP~~ADEBOYE

Pastor Enoch Adeboye,RCCG  General Overseer, has called for restructuring of Nigeria to forestall a possible breakup and agitation across the country.

Speaking at a 60th Independence Day Celebration Symposium co-organised by the Redeemed Christian Church of God and the Nehemiah Leadership Institute on Saturday October 3, Adeboye  said;

“Why can’t we have a system of government that is 100 per cent Nigerian, unique to us? For example, we started on with the British system of government, somewhere along the line, we moved over to the American system of government.

“Can’t we have a combination of both and see whether it could help us solve our problems because in Mathematics if you want to solve a problem, you try what we call Real Analysis, then if it doesn’t work, then you move on to Complex Analysis and see whether that will help you. If that fails, you move on to Vector Analysis and so on.

“I believe that we might want to look at the problems of Nigeria in a slightly different manner. Some people feel that all our problems will be over if Nigeria should break up. I think that is trying to solve the problems of Nigeria as if it is a Simple Equation. The problems of Nigeria will require quite a bit of Simultaneous Equation and some of them are not going to be Linear either – forgive me I am talking as a Mathematician.

“Why can’t we have a system of government that will create what I will call the United States of Nigeria? Let me explain. We all know that we must restructure. It is either we restructure or we break, you don’t have to be a prophet to know that one. That is certain – restructure or we break up.

“Now, we don’t want to break up, God forbid. In the restructuring, why don’t we have a Nigerian kind of democracy? At the federal level, why don’t we have a President and a Prime Minister?

“If we have a President and a Prime Minister and we share responsibilities between these two so that one is not an appendage to the other. For examples, if the President controls the Army and the Prime Minister controls the Police. If the President controls resources likes oil and mining and the Prime Minister controls finance and inland revenue, taxes, customs etc. You just divide responsibilities between the two.

“At the state level, you have the governor and the premier, and the same way, you distribute responsibilities between these people in such a manner that one cannot really go without the other. Maybe we might begin to tackle the problems.

“If we are going to adopt the model, then we need to urgently restore the House of Chiefs. I have a feeling that one of our major problems is that we have pushed the traditional rulers to the background and I believe that is a great error particularly for a great country like Nigeria.

“I find it very ridiculous that one will ask a traditional ruler to inform the chairman of his local government before he travels.

“Go to any town in Nigeria, everybody in the town knows the paramount ruler in the town and they respect him (but) many of them don’t even know the name of the chairman of their local government.

“The traditional rulers are the actual landlords, they control the respect of their people. Their people will listen to them much more, I am sorry to say than they will listen to some politicians.

“Without any doubt, we must restructure and do it as soon as possible. The United States of Nigeria is likely to survive than our present structure."

DEATH TRAP: BADAGRY ROAD SINCE 1999~~HODONU-WUSU

 Badagry road since 1999

I remember vividly while was at the college of education, otto/ijanikin as a student. I always go to school from Badagry in this deplorable state of our road untill I finished in 2002.

Sen. Bola Tinubu was the governor of Lagos State then. He came to Badagry and promised us that he will work to fix our road and get the money from the federal government, he promised heaven and earth and pleaded with our people to vote for him which I knew then that he was just fooling gullible people around.

He got reelected, our people fulfilled their individual promises to him nothing was done to the road. He left in 2007. He installed his boy Mr. Raji Fashola, both of them came to the Palace then with their cunning spirits and lies to deceived our people again and he equally left in 2015 without even looking back.

Ambode that had worked in Badagry local government division and had experience about the road came with his sagacity and promised our people too and done nothing, they all fooled them while other local governments in the state are getting the dividend of democracy in Lagos State, Badagry is left behind due to bad representatives and "afemiafemi" only me leaders.

In 2019, SanwoOlu 'Eko' came too and still the same story for the gods. Badagry is still battling with bad roads after 21 years of APC in Lagos State. One and half year "don dey waka" in this new dispensation nothing is seen in Badagry local government. What is our sin in that state? E je E bure ooooo!

In 2015,  they lied to our people then that it was because PDP was the one in Federal and the place is a federal road and by the time APC is in power, they will fix it once and for all.

APC in person of General Bubu has been ruling this country for the past five years with his chicken change mantra that the whole world is now looking as unserious being due to his incompetence and lack of good governance and utmost none sincerity to the country that has taken the whole country to ask why Tinubu and his cronies had to deceived the masses for bringing "Agbako" instead of blessing to the country in 2015.

They deceived gullible Nigerians that within six months they will fixed their electricity, they will feed the whole nation, the unemployed youths will have 5,000 naira monthly till they get jobs, that $1 will equals #1, for the past 6 months students are still on strike, five years don waka, we still dey carry go for darkness, no good roads, the way to my house doesn't even have good roads, the health care system is nothing to write home about. Our education system is in shambles, there is nothing that you can point out that these looters have done for our people for 60 years.

Nigerians are seen as criminals both home and abroad, especially when you are at the airports. You have to prove yourself beyond anything before they can trust you abroad that you are not a criminal while people that are not up to us as a country will be going freely and getting free access to many things, just because of these wicked, God forsaken looters called leaders.

May you never know peace of mind with what you are making our people to pass through in Badagry and the nation at large.

Our brothers that are fighting for the betterment of our roads and our people were arrested for protesting peacefully yesterday.

I join millions of people calling on Lagos State government, the DPO Badagry division and everyone that knows what our people are passing through to rise up and demand for the release of these great men that stood up for our people to demand for good roads and for the government to bring the necessary amenities to the local government so that our people can have meaningful life experiences in their own state.

Badagry is the second largest populated division in Lagos State. It is housed with the First storey building in 1842, and the first place to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ in Nigeria. It is a place that slave trade was carried out in the 15th century. It is one of the heart of Lagos State. Without Badagry division, Lagos State cannot be completed. A purported and so-called Mega City in making.

Can we compare Lagos with anywhere in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia? Malaysia does not have the kind of money we have as a nation, but their people are enjoying lives to fullness just like those in America, Canada and elsewhere in the advanced countries of the world. But, why are these wicked people treating us like this?

I am still asking ni o, can we compare developments here with anything or anywhere in Nigeria for 60 years? because our people back home love lies and this wicked politicithieves knew what they wanted, and so they are ready to give it to them one by one during and after the elections. Bible says humans love darkness more than light. They value lies compared to the truth.

Badagry Road is an international road, hence, it has been neglected for more than two decades, that I know of as a college student then.

What a shame to the government of APC and PDP for 21 years! and they cannot still fix a normal and basic thing in the country for two decades. What an irony of life!

I reiterated here again that these wonderful revolutionaries of Badagry Kingdom should be released unconditionally. They are only asking for their rights and a sane government or country will give them lives and hope because we cannot continue to look at you, killing our people on that road daily and not allowing the youth to thrive in their own nation, state or local government because of bad roads linking their businesses.

Government refusal to provide good jobs for them, and yet, no good amenities to thrives in their businesses is uncalled for. They should be released without any further delay and it should be unconditionally.

Thanks

God bless Gbagivile

God bless Lagos State

God bless Oduduwa Republic

INSECURITY IN NIGERIA AS RETIRED AIR COMMODORE ABDUCTED IN KADUNA

Information regarding the abduction is still sketchy. It is said that the victim hails from Shaiskawa quarters in Katsina State.

TENSION IN DELTA STATE AS CHIEF PRIEST STABBED TO DEATH FOR IMPREGNATING HAUSA GIRL

Victor Alawuru,Chief Priest of the Igbudu community in Warri South council area of Delta, has been stabbed to death for allegedly impregnating a Muslim lady at Degbori Street in the Hausa Quarters axis of the community.

The Nation reports that the victim impregnated a ‘Hausa lady’, which did not go well with her Muslim parents, who are against the relationship based on religious differences. Some other residents in the area claim that the deceased was killed because he rejected the pregnancy.

It was gathered the deceased had gone for a festival on Degbori street when he was ambushed and stabbed by hoodlums reportedly from the Hausa enclave.

“The deceased was killed because a Hausa lady got pregnant for him. He allegedly rejected the pregnancy. The incident has brought serious tension,” a source claimed

Another source said

“The hoodlums who are believed to be from the Hausa community attacked and stabbed him to death on Thursday. The Igbudu community youths are angry over the death of the deceased. Thus, fighting, robbery, and a riot broke out between the Urhobo and Hausa groups.

The ever-busy Igbudu market was forcefully closed on Friday evening as traders ran away for the safety of their lives. And there are fears that the youths may avenge the death of the chief priest.

The incident is a bad one because cult groups have taken over the fight. The last person that was killed by the same group during the lockdown was the younger brother of Mr. Victor. The people of the priest are angry”.

A senior police source at the Warri Area Command revealed that the parents wanted the girl to terminate the pregnancy but she refused.

“They said a Hausa girl was pregnant for him and the parents wanted her to terminate the pregnancy but she ran to the police station.

So the girl said Christian girls do get pregnant for Muslims so why can’t she? And she decided to keep the pregnancy.

They were having a festival in that area and the said chief priest was passing. They said some Hausa boys now pointed that ‘look at the man that brought disgrace (impregnating the Hausa girl) to us’ and one of them stabbed him to death,” the police source disclosed.

Asked if the chief priest had rejected the pregnancy, the Police said “he didn’t. They said their daughter shouldn’t have been pregnant for a non-Muslim”.

The spokesperson of the state police command, DSP Onome Onovwakpoyeya, confirmed the killing of the chief priest by suspected ‘Hausa boys’.

“Yes, the chief priest was killed but not because he was a chief priest. The area is calm now'' Onovwakpoyeya said

“We are here today to make sure that Gov. Sanwo-Olu, President Buhari and all stakeholders know that the road in Badagry has become a shame.”

K1 'SLAPPING MUSICIAN' ACCUSED OF BEATING UP MC MURPHY IN OGUN STATE

Fuji musician, K1 de ULTIMATE, has been accused of assaulting a popular broadcaster, Wole Sorunke, aka MC Murphy in Ogun State.

According to source, the duo of Ayinde and MC Murphy met on Thursday at the 60th birthday party of the Olu of Itori, Oba Abdulfatai Akamo.

They were both invited separately to perform at the event as musicians and presenters respectively.

But, MC Murphy accused the Fuji maestro of beating him blue and black at the occasion.

Speaking on Friday, the compere told newsmen that he was attacked after he had taken someone to the stage to be eulogised by Ayinde. MC Mutphy said, asshockingly ,  K 1 ignored him and his client as they left the stage.

According to him, the singer allegedly pounced on him with the aids of some of his boys, who were identified as KC and Gaji, where he was sitting.

MC Murphy, while showing journalists his swollen cheeks and lips, maintained that Ayinde had later apologised to him; saying, however, that he did not want the incident to be swept under the carpet.

Reacting to the incident, broadcasters under the auspices of Freelance and Independent Broadcasters Association of Nigeria, on Friday, lambasted Ayinde over the alleged assault on one of them.

FIBAN President, Desmond Nwachukwu, expressed disappointment in the Fuji star, saying the act was unbecoming of someone holding the title of ‘Mayegun of Yorubaland’.

The FIBAN President appealed to the Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi, to strip Ayinde of the title he bestowed on him.

Meanwhile, Ayinde’s media manager, Kunle Rasheed, has denied the allegations.

Rasheed said his boss had no involvement in any violence that occurred at the event.

Rasheed, said nothing of such happened at the party. He added that anything that happened to the compere at the party had nothing to do with Ayinde.

ELITES CAUSING ETHNO-RELIGIOUS CRISIS FOR SHARE OF NATIONAL CAKE

Ex-Emir of Kano,Muhammad Sanusi, has said that the ethno-religious crisis in the country was caused by elites jostling to plunder the nation's resources and not the people, who are affected by the crisis.

Sanusi made this known while speaking at The Platform, an annual conference organised by the Covenant Christian Centre in Lagos, on Thursday.

He said, “Ethno-religious crisis is not so much from Nigerians but the Nigerian elites. We have identities in Nigeria but the construction of opposing identities, the political process, is basically the Nigerian elite competing among itself for a share of the national cake.

“I don’t think that the people who say they are fighting for Hausa, Igbo or Yoruba are really interested. I mean when they get there at the end of the day, it is about them and their families.

“There is nobody out there that is really representing north or south or east. They claim to be if you look out there in the cabinet. In the history of Nigeria, there has never been a government that does not have people from every part of the country.

“So the first thing to recognize is that we must get away from the sense that holding political office is what makes you representative of a people.”
