NIGERIAN POLITICIANS ARE JUSTIFYING PALLIATIVES FOUND IN THERE POSSESSIONS

SENATOR TESLIM FOLARIN

‘Citizens are dying of starvation and they hide these relief materials from them’

A particular posts on Twitter where a guy  calling for residents of Jos to locate and raid Covid-19 relief materials warehouses. Before you can say Jack Robinson,People decided to go there because they are suffering and starving.

Its a pathetic and callous and wicked of our government when their citizens are dying of starvation and they hide these relief materials from them. the point is that there is  hunger and starvation in the land due to  high inflation of food prices in the market and not everyone can afford to buy due to lack of employment and poor wages and salaries.
To make the mater worst, the Nigerian Governors said they hid the palliatives for the second wave of the covid-19, so they could share it for people.! Is that true?
Below are some of the comments from the politicians;
“For the sake of clarification, I have just formally taken receipt of the empowerment materials from a federal agency coordinating constituency projects for federal lawmakers,” the lawmaker said in his reaction to the looting of the property whi ch he said included hundreds of generators, motorcycles and deep freezers.~~Senator Teslim Folarin, represents Oyo Central in the Senate
SOB AGUNBIADE

As that of Lagos House of Rep member Sob Agunbiade, admitted that the palliatives looted from his house was donated by the federal and state government and that he had planned to share the remaining palliatives on his birthday, October 25.  The question is how come did COVID-19 palliatives  becomes birthday gifts?

Meanwhile, Nigerians are bashing Sob Agunbiade  online, as they accused him of hoarding palliatives which was given to the masses.
One part said he shared palliatives with his money during the pandemic. So, when the real ones came he planned on sharing it on his birthday.~~Liadi Ahmed
So you Kept palliatives to share on your birthday like party pack??? Deceive the people that you are a charitable leader giving back and not a hoarder of the provisions that have been made for their well-being?!!~~Craftist Táétáé

NSCDC SACKS ITS OFFICER FOR PARTAKING IN LOOTING PALLIATIVES @ GWANGWALADA

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has sacked one of their own, Corps Assistant Illiya Ibrahim, of the Gwagwalada Division Abuja for partaking in the carting away of palliatives at warehouse in the Federal Capital Territory.

Ekundayo Gbenga, Media Assistant to the Commandant General, NSCDC, Abdullahi Gana Muhammadu, disclosed this in a statement on Tuesday evening.

Ibrahim was spotted in a trending video holding three small bags of rice. In the short clip, some people were heard hailing the NSCDC officer: "Officer, officer, officer of the law!!!"

"This disciplinary measure was taken after a series of investigations and deliberations by the junior disciplinary committee, and recommendations were made to the management.

"The recommendation was given after the officer was charged under the public service rule which is unbecoming conduct of officers," the statement read.

The CG tasked NSCDC personnel to remain committed, persistent and honest in the discharge of their duties.

LAGOS STATE GOVERNMENT SUMMONED US TO THE SCENE OF PROTEST @ LEKKI TOLL GATE

The Nigerian Army,  after initial denial , has finally revealed that it was summoned to the scene of protest at Lekki Toll Gate by the Lagos State Government.

The soldiers, who were deployed from 65 Battalion, Bonny Camp, Victoria Island, Lagos, told some victims’ relatives after dumping some of the injured and dead at MRS Hospital that they were sent by Governor Sanwo-Olu, the report revealed.

Confirming the report of being summoned to engage the protesters by the state government, Acting Director, Army Public Relations, 81 Division of the Nigerian Army, Major Osoba Olaniyi, said the state government called in the military.

He said, “The decision to call in the military was taken by the Lagos State Government after a 24- hour curfew was imposed

“This was as a result of the violence which led to several police stations being burnt, policemen killed, suspects in police custody released and weapons carted away.

“The situation was fast degenerating into anarchy. It was at this point that LASG requested for the military to intervene in order to restore normalcy.”

He, however, insisted that the army did not open fire on the protesters despite initial admittance by the Chief of Army Staff, Tukur Buratai, who claimed troops were at Lekki to “ensure compliance with the curfew imposed by legitimate civil authorities in Lagos and other states”.

Olaniyi, who branded as untrue and unfounded the shooting of protesters at Lekki, also claimed that the news of the shooting was aimed at discrediting the Nigerian Army.

He said, “At no time did soldiers of the Nigerian Army open fire on any civilian. From the onset of the ENDSARS protest, there was no time personnel of 81 Division Nigerian Army Lagos were involved.

“The intervention of the military followed all laid down procedures for internal security operations and all the soldiers involved acted within the confines of the rules of engagement for internal security operations.

“Finally, Headquarters 81 Division Nigerian Army reiterates Nigerian Army in the discharge of its constitutional responsibilities did not shoot at any civilian as there is glaring and convincing evidence to attest to this fact.

“This allegation is the hand work of mischief makers who will stop at nothing to tarnish the image of the Nigerian Army. The general public is hereby enjoined to discountenance this allegation as there is no iota of truth therein.”

#ENDSARS PROTEST : "OUR LIFESTYLE PROVOKES THE YOUTHS"~~ROCHAS OKOROCHA

Rochas Okorocha, former Imo State governor, and the Senator representing Imo West senatorial district, said the #EndSARS protest is not just targeted at the police but also a reaction to years of bad leadership, joblessness and poverty in Nigeria.

Speaking with newsmen in Abuja at the weekend, he said;

"What started a few days ago as a peaceful protest has escalated into losing many souls and burning properties with people living in fears. This situation is very unfortunate and highly regrettable. I want to sympathise with those that have lost their loved ones due to the protests," he said.

He described the protest as a genuine wake-up call to the political elite to live up to their responsibilities.

“However, I want to say that this is a wakeup call by the youths of this country to the leaders of this nation. It is a pointer that we the elite have been selfish in handling the affairs of this country. There has been a track record of unfair leadership for a long time.

“The #EndSARS protest is not just targeted at police but a disappointment over economic issues in a nation where we have joblessness and poverty for the youths. While commending President Buhari for the actions taken so far, especially in reassuring the youths of meeting up their demands, we must also act quickly under this present situation to prepare for the future.

“Today, we have millions of out of school children in the country, it is another time bomb for tomorrow. While the situation is getting under control, government and leaders must rise to their responsibilities to ensure that such future occurrences did not happen again.

“Yes, it was anchored #EndSARS, the Nigerian youths are not against the police but against a certain segment of the police formation. So, killing innocent policemen/women and military personnel is really uncalled for. The social media have not helped matters in this period especially when people are posting old pictures and making them look like current ones with people believing in it and acting otherwise.”

Okorocha, therefore, called on those holding elective positions to make sacrifices from their salaries and allowances as a way of mitigating the situation the youths are facing in the country.

He said: “The truth is that our lifestyle provokes youths. We must call on leaders, the legislatures and executives, to change our lifestyle as a mark of sacrifice. It is not necessarily because they are comfortable with what they get. And even when they get, they have thousands of people that supported them in addition to the extended family system in Africa.

“There are in-laws, friends, classmates, political associates and at the end of the day, the federal house members end up in penury. However, I strongly advocate that the legislatures and executives must make sacrifices from their salaries and allowances as a way of ameliorating the situation the youths are facing." he added.

LT. COL. S O BELLO ALLEGEDLY LED THE SOLDIERS THE MASSACRE PEACEFUL LEKKI PROTESTERS ~~Brigadier General F.O Omata

 Lt Col S. O. Bello.

Brigadier General Francis Omata has finally spoken out after he was reported to have ordered the killing of protesters at the Lekki Protest ground on Tuesday.

Brigadier General F.O Omata has been the subject of many discussions across social media as many Nigerians threatened to mete out on his family same pains he caused upon many families of the people that were killed.

In his defence, the Brigadier General Omata denied the allegations, stating that :

“I didn’t command the soldiers nor was there when shots were fired. I rushed to the scene and arrived about 39 mins after and identified myself and pull back the soldiers.

The soldiers were from there 65 Battalion Bonny camp led by their commanding officer, Lt Col S. O. Bello.

My only mistake was that when I got to the scene I was screaming my name to alert the soldiers about my presence and people at the scene picked that up and ran with it”. It was not me.
