The three arms of government namely: Legislature,Judiciary and Executive are meant to make laws, interpret the same laws and then to execute the same laws without fear or favor.
The situation in Nigeria are other ways round, the interpretation of laws are of two types; one are meant for the poor and less privilege in the society, while the other one are meant for rich...whom Sir Mbadiwe describe as ''men of timber and caliber'' ..that is the untouchable.
How can you describe a situation where an Oshogbo high court judge handed down a 45-year jail term to one 31-year old man Kelvin Igha Ighodalo for stealing common 'sonny Ericsson' phone belong to Governor Aregbesola of Osun state, while in this same country, an Abuja high court judge, Justice Abubakar Talba, sentenced someone who confessed to steal 23 Billion Naira, was awarded a token of 750,000 Naria as a fine to go home free of charge and enjoy his loot!!!
Also, we are all a witness when the President Goodluck Jonathan pardon all the ''Big Thieves'' in Nigeria under the name of amnesty!!!...People like Akingbola, Cecilia Ibru, Igbinedion, etc were walking free in Nigeria. Can you people now tell me where are the justice?
Let me even ask this question...with all the security details that follows the Governor around , none of them knew the time when the phone was picked from the Governor's pocket? That is to say they are guilty of dereliction of duty, hence all of them need to be sacked. Because the security of the governor are at risk in their hand.
As for kelvin Igha Ighodalo, he need to be pardon by Governor Aregbesola...at the same time a job need to be giving to him. The reason been that an hungry man can do anything to survive.
