ADAMS OSHIOMOLE AND HIS ''MAKE I READ AM FRESH'' TEACHER

Some days ago i watched a video posted by Channel Television,Lagos on a visit by the Edo state Governor Adams Oshiomole during an exercise to screen over a thousand teachers involved in fraud of falsifying documents to get into service at Asalogun Primary School in Ikpoba Okha Local Government Area of Edo state.

I was so happy when i saw a woman who claimed to be a teacher that was unable to read a simple affidavit of decleration of age !!!  My happiness is not based on the fact that this woman was caught frauding the state government...far from that am happy that its shows glaring to the whole world that Nigeria is indeed a very corrupt nation on earth

Secondlly, it also crystal clear that a lot is wrong with are system. I remember in the 70s while i was in primary school, the Inspector of Education are always visited my primary school then in my village, Ijebu-Ife un-schedule....to look at the performance of the teachers, the school environment, the pupils performances, and the hygienically of the whole in general.

I still remember vividly, that all teachers do submitted a NOTE OF LESSON to the Headmaster’s office every day for verification on what he or she will teach the pupil everyday of the week till the end of the term and year....but i dont think that is obtainable any more. Teachers are now petty traders, they have turned the school premises into a mini-supermarket where buying and selling are the order of the day.

I am so happy again to watched this vedio in the sense that it shows that , there are a lot of collaborators that are need to fish out...one of them is the Head-master or Headmistress of that particular school, who never detect this woman or covering this woman up since, the Inspector of the Education in that locality, and all the pannel that interviewed this woman then before she was employed....all these people are also guilty of defrauding the state and waste tax-payers money on wasted effort.

A situation that a teacher of 20 years of experinced cannot identified I from 1(ONE), pronounced JUDICIARY....judishi!!!......unable to pronounced distinctively....Christian, Citizen of Federal Republic of Nigeria and mumbled it up as ....Christian city of whatever!!!!

What really baffled me is when the governor asked her to re-read one paragraph and as a typical Nigerian that always answerd the question with question....and she asked ‘’MAKE I READ AM FRESH?’’ a teacher that is speaking a pidgin-English in the presence of the first citizen of the state....and she even laughed!!!

However, hope is not yet lost, but the falsifying of documents are not only peculiar to teaching proffesion alone.....all the state governments in Nigeria need to carry-out  this excersice in all departments to fish out the perpetrators and their collaborators, and employed the capable hands that can move our country to next level, Abi make i say am again?
