Nigeria truly is a country at cross
road, it a place where deceit is the order of the day....truth are far-fetched from the ruling elite ...they are just old fools that continue to deceive the
entire country. In my mind they don’t have anything to offer in this computer
age, what they have left in their brain is how to secure all their ill-gotten
wealth they stole from the country.
If by my above statements that i am
too harsh on our political leaders, i will also like to ask my teaming blog followers
how you felt when you watched Danbaba Suntai, the brain damaged Governor of Taraba
state addressed on television?
This guy is not okay physically,
emotionally, and his state of mind is not stable. How come then that the people
are clamouring for his return as the governor of the state?. Of what purpose is
it for someone whose brain is not working properly to be in the helm of affairs
of a state? Someone who cannot recognise his kinsmen!!!
That’s bringing me back to the issues
of our political leaders who suppose to know better but trying to deceive us
all. It was learnt that Gen.Theophilus Danjuma, former Defence
Minister, was in a desperate move to save his ‘godson’ Governor Danbaba
Suntai’s job.
Danjuma on Thursday morning flew into
Jalingo and held a closed door meeting with Suntai, who has remained
incommunicado since returning from an overseas treatment on August 25, 2013.
A source close to the meeting between
Suntai and Danjuma confirmed that, “Danjuma’s visit had to do with the
dissatisfaction of the people of the state with the Hope Uzodinma’s funny
political arrangement, which makes many of the people of the state
dissatisfied with the diarchal contraption proposed by him.
“No one is happy with Uzodinma’s
clout and we are certain that Danjuma will use his strong connections with the
Presidency to swing support in favour of Governor Suntai.
“Danjuma actually came to Jalingo to
confirm how well Suntai was doing and he is satisfied that he has sufficiently
recovered to take over the mantle of leadership because even the Presidency is
not comfortable that two governors are running one state,” the source said.
How could Danjuma with his wealth of
his experienced canvassing for Suntai whom the Taraba House of Assembly members
had on Monday mandated the Deputy Governor, Garba Umar to acting as the
governor after ‘’convinced that
Suntai cannot give his best given his current medical state.’’
Also the leadership of the House and
representatives of Taraba State in the National Assembly and the members
reasoned that ‘’Suntai was too feeble to be saddled with the onerous task of
leading the state and pleaded with him to return to the United States for
further medical attention while his deputy continues to hold fort for him.’’
But in spite of the
intervention of the well meaning people of Taraba state and the top echelon of
PDP, the Senator representing Taraba South, Sen. Emmanuel Bwacha, and a close
ally of Suntai, and General Danjuma had maintained that members of the House of
Assembly should respect the position of the law regarding the letter
transmitted to them by the Governor.
Bwacha said the lawmakers had no
power to do anything outside the confines of the law and should therefore allow
Suntai to resume work without any encumbrance.!!!
The personality like Senator Emmanuel
Bwacha , General Danjuma and associate are just looking for their personal gain
without looking at the situation of the governor and what the state as a whole
will loose.
