NIGERIA POLITICAL TERRAIN IS GETTING SLIPPERY EVERYDAY

Nigeria Political terrain is getting slippery every day; the rich are getting richer, while the poor are getting poorer!!! The leaders have made and still making billions from the country resources, while the majority of the people are swimming in abject poverty. After making their billions, the next step is to change your destiny!!!

The people in power are so clever, the methodology used by them is ‘’first they ignore you. Then they laugh at you. Then they fight you.’’(...Gandhi)The first weapon of war they use is to destroy the educational system, by the time majority of the population are not well educated, the battle is halve won by them, because these illiterates will be so happy with whatever the government provide for them.

‘’If you receive high quality education, you will no longer go and dance in gratitude whenever President Goodluck Jonathan decides to tar a road with remnants of your money that have thankfully not been stolen. You will demand and expect performance as routine. The need to manufacture largely ignorant masses explains the perverse consistency with which successive generations of political leaders have waged war on public education.

Furthermore, ‘To rig elections or steal public funds on a stratospheric scale that suggests mental illness, to acquire unquestioned impunity, you do not go about investing in qualitative public education. Use-able mass ignorance and poverty are the raw materials you need to manufacture a follower-ship ready to defend your perversity to death on the basis of ethnicity or religion.’

Another methodology is Religion, as it happen now in Nigeria, Boko-Haramism, it is all a political diversion, in a situation that they instill fear in majorities mind, security agencies were everywhere on the streets, and the atmosphere looks like war zone; then the coast is clear to steal and embezzles all  the nation resources.

Ethnicity is another weapon used by the people in power to keep the people in permanent control. This we see in Nigeria as a daily occurrence, the poorer and the less privileged Ibos, Yorubas, Hausas, Fulanis etc. were using  against each other while the élite are dinning and wining all over the world with the money they stole from the country’s coffer.

The political leaders will the used the final salvo which is the state security agencies this also include the judiciary, to keep the multitude of population under permanent cage!!! The police, secret agents, soldiers, will then be doing their masters bidding. Killing, detaining and jailing at will. How will someone explains the recent judicial killing in Apo ?

Nigerians deserve better than what they are getting at present, i hope that our political leaders should have a change of heart. God saves Nigeria.
