Who is Asari Dokubo? He was formerly known as Melford Dokubo Goodhead Jr., now Mujahid Asari Dokubo. He is of the Ijaw ethnic group in the Niger delta of River State, of Nigeria. He was president of the Ijaw Youth Council, he founded the Niger Delta People's Volunteer Force, Both groups engaged in oil 'bunkering' and other illegal forms of local resource extraction

He was born in 1964 as Christian, later converted to Muslim. He received both primary and secondary education in Port Harcourt. ''He was a drop out of both University of Calabar and Rivers State University of Science and Technology .Asari is a thug, an equivalent of Lagos ‘’Allright Sir’’ and that of Kano ‘Almajeri’’, a confusion man, violence entrepreneur and a terrorist''.

His thugery stance was why he was arrested and charged with treason by the Nigerian federal government during Olusegun Obasanjo administration. On 14 June 2007, Asari was released on bail as part of new President Umaru Yar'Adua's pledge to try and bring peace to the Niger Delta region.

Asari Dokubo is one of the People Democratic Party monsters created to foment troubles and election rigging all over the country. The government of Dr. Goodluck Jonathan is the one provides them him all the backing he needs, Asari Dokubo is above the law.

Asari Dokubo is a beneficiary of violence political entrepreneurship that avoids otherwise legitimate questions like, ‘’ how endemic insecurity threatens the short-term stability and long-term existence of the Nigerian state. “I will declare for the PDP. We will fight, because in this battle, there is no retreat, no surrender. We will not take any prisoner of war. It will be total battle,”

It was gather that the former head of state General Babangida is said to be uncomfortable with Asari-Dokubo threatening violence. A top source, said: “Babangida was upset by the alleged reckless comments from Asari Dokubo. He was also shocked that no one has called the ex-militant leader to order. My answer to that is who will call him to order?

“The former Head of State may pull out of the ongoing peace talks instead of allowing anyone to mess up his efforts.’’The source said.

The question i will like to ask the war-lord that ,is he really afraid Asari-Dokubo’s threats or comments or is Asari Dokubo now above the law? I will also like to ask the security chiefs this include Inspector-Genaral of Police, Army chiefs, SSS ,NIA, all the advisers on security matters that is Asari Dokubo is now untouchable?
