Danladi , Acting Governor of Taraba state has declared a curfew in the state
from 7 pm to 6 am following the post election violence that engulfed the state
after the declaration of the state governorship result
While some reports
claimed that the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC,
Senator Aisha Al-Hassan, popularly known as ‘Mama Taraba’ is in the lead,
other reports suggested that the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party,
PDP, Darius Ishaku will emerge winner of the exercise. If Senator Aisha
Al-Hassan wins, she will be the first female elected governor in the country.
