DO YOU STILL REMEMBER THESE BOYS 'ALUU4'?... 2-YEAR AFTER 'NO JUSTICE'

Do you still remember these boys? Yea, the ‘Aluu4’ . The brutal murder of four students (Ugona Kelechi Obuzor, year two Geology;  Biringa Chiadika Lordson,  year two Theatre Arts;  Mike Lloyd Toku, year two Civil Engineering,  and Tekena Erikena.) of the University of Port Harcourt on Friday on October 5 2012 in the Aluu community of Rivers state.

The foursome were stripped naked, marched round most parts of the community and later clubbed to death before a cheering crowd of the Omuokiri-Aluu community in ObiaAkpo Local Government Area of Rivers state and their remains were set ablaze and dumped in a pit in the area!

The Police Commissioner then, Mr. Ndabawa, said the Police would do everything humanly possible to get to the root of the incident. However, since October 5th, 2012, nothing happened. No justice. It is pity that we are living in a society that has no value for human being! RIP Ugonna, Tekena, Chidiaka and Lloyd

KIDNAPPING MADE ME AN EMERGENCY MILLIONAIRE...SUSPECT

A suspected kidnapper, Anthony Egidi, 33, a welder by profession, claimed he joined kidnapping ‘business’in Port Harcourt, River State out of frustration. According to him, he became an emergency millionaire, after he netted N10m as a kidnapper.

Egidi said: “I bought cars, four plots of land in Benin City and another plot in Lagos. I also opened supermarket for my wife. My wife believed I’m a welder. She only got to know I’m a kidnapper after police arrested me.”

Egidi and his5-member gang were arrested on October, 26, 2014, in Ekiwa, Benin City by operatives of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS), Lagos State Police Command, led by SP. Abba Kyari.

Investigators said that the suspects operated with two AK47 rifles and three locally made guns. Police have recovered them.

The suspect, who is married with two kids, said that his first operation with the gang happened at Delta State in 2011. They kidnapped a woman. His share from the operation was N280, 000.

He said: “During the first and second operation, the gang refused to disclose the venue to me. They blindfolded my eyes because I was new in the gang. After the second operation, we moved down to Benin City to kidnap a man. I got N100, 000. After receiving the money, I believed is a cool business.“The third operation made me a millionaire. I was given N2.8m. The role I played was to drive the gang. I didn’t know where they kept the victim. It was a woman. We collected N9m during the fourth operation. We kidnapped a man in Benin City. I was also given N1.5m. We moved down to Delta State, between Oroku and Abeh road. We kidnapped a man. I got N3.5m.”

Egidi explained that after making millions in the South East, he and his members decided to penetrate South West.

“Our sixth operation was at Eleko Junction, Ajah on June 2014. We collected N1.6m ransom from the person. I was given 300, 000,” said Egidi.
He further recollected that the seventh operation was when the gang kidnapped a female worker of Key Stone Bank on her way home.

Egidi noted: “We were seven in number that went on that operation. Steve blocked her car from the back; while Tony with another guy came down to attack her. We abandoned her car. We didn’t need it. We only needed her.  We took her to bush; she spent six days in the bush with us. We didn’t rape her. We gave her everything she requested for. We bought food for her from Mr. Biggs.”

Egidi said that they ordered the victim’s family to pay N6m. During the process, one of the kidnappers was arrested when he went to collect the ransom. He didn’t know policemen were in hiding. When police got to the kidnappers’ den, there was exchange of gun fire.
Two of the kidnappers were gunned down, while others fled. Egidi was arrested.

'MY DAD ALMOST RAPED ME TO DEATH'.....12-YEAR OLD UZOR

A 14-year-old girl, simply identified Uzor has revealed how her father almost raped her to death on December, 2, 2014. Uzor, who stays with her father, at No, 4 Akintunde Street,Oyingbo, Ebute-Meta, Lagos.
According to the little girl, she said her father raped her around 6:30am after she went to live with him. She explained that she had been living with an aunt at Ikorodu after the demise of her mother until her father came to take her away.

Fighting back tears, Uzor said: “I wanted to shout, but his weight was too much for me. My father is fat and I was struggling not to stop breath. I was struggling to push him off!”
According to Uzor, after her mother died, she went to stay with her mum’s elder sister, at Ogijo, Ikorodu, Ogun State. The woman was expected to assist the girl in furthering her education, but she did not.

“My aunt did not enroll me in school. I used to hawk pepper and tomatoes for her. My father was not pleased that my aunt did not enroll me in school. He threatened to take me away. He eventually came and took me to his house.”

Recalling how she was raped, Uzor said: “I was in the room, sleeping when my father called me to warm soup in the kitchen. Few minutes later, he called me to meet him in the bed room. I thought he wanted to punish me when he called me, because I’m always scared of him and my step mother. They treat me bad. Before I knew what was happening, my father had pushed me on the bed and pounced me. He tore off my pants and penetrated me.  When he finally got up and left, I was bleeding from my private part seriously. I could not walk. But I managed to call the attention of an elderly woman in our street.”

The victim said that after the incident, he left her on the bed and went away. The woman she alerted about the incident, cautioned her, not to tell anyone. The woman told Uzor, it was an abomination.
“Immediately I left the woman’s house, I went to a pay call center to call Mrs. Toyosi Bello in Ogijo. I explained the incident to her,” said Uzor.

Mrs. Toyosi Bello the Ogun State Coordinator for Center for Defence of Human Right said she was in Ogijo when she received the call from Uzor. The following day, Bello went to Uzor’s father’s apartment.

Bello said: “I observed that the woman Uzor reported the incident to, is shielding her father from arrest. Some elderly men in the area begged me not to expose the matter to the public as that would damage the image of the little girl in future. The girl was immediately rushed to Federal Medical Center, unfortunately when we got there; the medical doctors were all on strike.”
Bello said the Uzor’s father has run away. The girl’s step-mother was arrested, but had since been released.

Uzor had been taken to Project Alert, a non-governmental organisation that takes care of raped victims.
