HOW NIGERIAN STUDENT DIED IN POLICE CUSTODY IN USA

A Nigerian man Matthew Ajibade,22, college student, (pictured above) died in police custody and his family wants to know what led to his jail death.

CNN reports...

Matthew died in an isolation cell, after he "became combative during the booking process," according to a release from the Chatham County Sheriff's Office in Savannah, Georgia. During the altercation, officials say, three deputies were injured, including a female sergeant who suffered a concussion and broken nose. That doesn't square with family members' description of the 22-year-old, whom they described as a much-loved "geeky kid."The Nigerian native was in Savannah studying computer science.

Ajibade's family has hired Mark O'Mara, a CNN legal analyst who once represented George Zimmerman in the death of Florida teen Trayvon Martin. The attorney hopes to see "discourse of all available information as soon as possible," he told CNN on Tuesday.

Ajibade was diagnosed with bipolar disorder three years ago and was having a medical emergency at the time of his arrest and confinement, O'Mara said.

Savannah police arrested Ajibade on January 1 after receiving a call about a domestic disturbance.

When police arrived, they witnessed Ajibade holding a woman under a blanket, according to an incident report. Police uncovered the two and noticed that the woman's "face was bruised, and her nose was bleeding," the report says.

Officers ordered Ajibade to release the woman, but he did not comply, the report says, adding that when police tried to arrest Ajibade he proceeded to "resist apprehension in a violent manner."

He was accused of domestic violence act, battery and obstruction of an officer. "The sergeant is still on medical leave. The other two remain on duty status," said Chief Deputy Roy Harris.

A woman who he identified as his girlfriend tried to inform police of his mental health issues, O'Mara said.
"She also gave police a bottle of his medication," the attorney told CNN.

The police report notes that officers received a prescription bottle from the alleged victim, but the name of the prescription has been redacted.

Once at the jail, officials say, Ajibade had to be restrained, during which he injured the three officers. He was then moved to an isolation cell due to his "dangerous behavior," a police news release says.

Deputies conducted welfare checks on Ajibade and on their second check he was found nonresponsive, police say. First aid was administered by the jail's medical unit staff. Despite CPR and attempts to restart his heart with a defibrillator, Ajibade could not be revived, according to the release.

It's unclear how much of the event, if any, was captured on the jail's surveillance system, or whether officers conducted a mental health evaluation before Ajibade's death.

County officials declined CNN requests for an interview, citing the ongoing investigation. The sheriff's office has requested that the Georgia Bureau of Investigation conduct an independent investigation. A

GBI spokesperson said an autopsy had been conducted, but that a cause of death was pending toxicology reports.

The Chatham County District Attorney's office said a criminal investigation is ongoing and the office will "handle the matter further, should it become necessary."

#CRIME: 4 ASSASSIN-GANG ARRESTED FOR ALLEGEDLY AGREEING TO KILL LONDON-BASED NIGERIAN !!!

Four suspected assassins has been arrested  in Lagos, Police for allegedly agreeing to kill a London-based Nigerian.
The four suspects; Salami Afeez, Dare Akinyemi, Fatai Olunje and Taiwo Akinyemi; were apprehended in the Mushin area of the state on December 11, 2014, by operatives of the command’s Special Anti-Robbery Squad.

It was learnt that a police detective had gone undercover as a prospective client to be able to locate the hideout of the suspects and to be sure that the gang had guns, and therefore asked them to produce their weapons, which the gang allegedly did. The police revealed that the suspected assassins were hired to kill a Nigerian, who resided in London and was planning to visit home..

One of the alleged gang members,  Salami Afeez, 23. Said: “The client had not told us who the victim was. What he initially told us was that there was an election operation which we would carry out for a politician. He asked me to get more people to handle it. So, I got the other gang members.
“We planned everything with the client, who we simply refer to as chairman, at a beer parlour on Awawu Street, Mushin. Later on, when we were arrested, we got to know that one of those people we were dealing with was actually a detective.
“It was not that I worked as an assassin. I stay on Mustapha Street, Mushin, with my family where I work as generator repairer. I am also a cult member. I was initiated into the Aiye cult last year October. It was the money that enticed us. The chairman promised to give us N300,000 for the job.”

Dare Akinyemi Akinyemi, 31, in his own statement said; “I stay in Mushin. I deal in drugs. It was Taiwo who said he had a group which wanted to carry out a lucrative operation, and I should be a part of it. I told them that I don’t indulge in armed robbery, but they promised me a huge part of the money.
“On the day we were arrested, we were about collecting the N300,000 payment. Taiwo and I went to a hotel lounge in Mushin, and that was where the police arrested us. I have never killed before. This is my first time. We intended to spend the money for Christmas.”

The Police spokesperson, DSP Kenneth Nwosu, confirmed the arrest of the suspects, adding that investigations were ongoing. “The suspects have confessed to the crime. Investigation continues on the matter.” He said

PORT-HARCOURT GOSPEL SINGER : THE TRUTH BEHIND HER NUD3 PHOTOS..

I hope you will still recollect the story of Port Harcourt gospel singer which her nude photos went viral on internet last year. A friend of hers who wrote unanimously re-writes the whole story thus: ''the true story is out now. A medical doctor associated with RCA is the brain behind the pictures. He first posted them a few years back to blackmail the young lady who refused to marry him when she found out he was already married to a lady who was in SA.

He threatened to publish these pix if she refused to be his mistress. He carried out his threat. The matter was reported to the state commissioner for health who called and warned him to remove the pix from the internet. In less than two hours he wiped them off. Feeling humiliated he has started distributing the unclad pix once again.

The last may not have been heard this story as this medical doctor of Ikwerre origin in Rivers state might lose his licence as well as a libel and defamation suits will follow. The lady has vowed to follow the matter to its logical conclusion. Her entire family and especially her retired military officer father is behind her. This might as well mark the beginning of the end of some heartless men.’’

However, ladies should learn good lesson from this and refrain from keeping private pictures on the phone. .. There are more to this story...see the pics
