COMMENTS NEVER BUGS ME...I SHOW OFF OCCASIONALLY...

Annette Cookey ,the Mago Mago star in a chat with Showtime disclosed that  “Comments never get to me I am thick skinned. Nothing really is responsible for my being thick skinned. As you grow up you should know what to take in and what not to take in.

One should know the difference between what matters and what doesn’t. If you are constructive in your criticism, I will oblige but if you are not, you don’t exist to me” Commenting on her fashion viewpoint, the Project Fame 2008 third runner- up has this to say: “I don’t believe in the philosophy that if you have it, you have to flaunt it. I think modesty is key,not everything you have is for the public.

Some things will be seen without you making an effort to flaunt them. The crazy side of me occasionally shows off, but its not an everyday affair.” The charming songstress also spoke about some of the memorable remarks she has gotten for her dress sense:  “I have gotten several comments for my dress sense. I have heard comments like: “Wow you look so tall in those pants. You look ten years younger. I thought you were some high school girl  .Everything you wear fits you because of your boobs. I can go on and on” she said.

SOS: KIDNAPPED SCHOOLGIRL TRANSPORTED TO LIBYA...FAMILY MEMBER INVOLVED..

Precious Nwaigwe, a secondary school girl who was returning to school on May 24th last year, from Ajah, but was kidnapped by certain men has now been transported to Libya according to police investigations. In a shocking revelation, the police made a good discovery and it was learnt that a family member was involved in the kidnapping and had already been paid N250,000 for his own role.

The  mother 15-year old Precious Nwaigwe, the Ogun schoolgirl that was abducted in the Ajah area of Lagos State by kidnappers, Blessing, told Punch Metro that investigations by the police had also shown that one of their relatives was involved in the kidnapping.

Her father, Okoro, a trader, had told Punch Metro that his daughter was on holiday with him in the Ajah area.

He said he had bid her farewell on the fateful day at the Sangotedo bus stop while in a vehicle en route to her school, without knowing the bus was driven by kidnappers.

It was reported that a few weeks after the journey, the Nwaigwes got a call from Patience’s school, Ikenne Community College, Ikenne, Ogun State, that she had yet to arrive at the school.

It was reported that about two months after the kidnap, the victim’s parents got a call from the kidnappers in the Niger Republic, who demanded a ransom of $100,000.

In a follow-up, our correspondent reported that the kidnappers threatened to make Precious work for the ransom if it was not paid.

Punch Metro later reported that Precious had been sold to a pimp, who insulted her parents for disturbing them, saying they were merely doing business.

The victim’s father had expressed helplessness and frustration, saying the family had become bankrupt after spending on attempts to rescue her without getting any result.

The case was transferred from the Ajah Police Division to the State Department of Criminal Investigation, Yaba, before it was taken over by men of the Anti-Robbery Squad of the command in Ikeja.

A police source told our correspondent on Wednesday that latest findings by the police showed that Precious had been sold to some people in Libya.

He said, “The girl is no more in the Niger Republic. She has been taken to Libya and the police have arrested one of those involved in the kidnap.

“The new suspect told us that the girl was no longer in his custody because she had been sold to some people suspected to be pimps in Libya.”

Precious’ mother, Blessing, told Punch Metro on the telephone on Wednesday that the family was aware that Precious had been sold to some people in Libya, adding that a new suspect had been arrested by the police.

She said the latest suspect was a relative.

She said, “The person that has just been arrested is one of our relatives.

“He is my cousin’s child and is currently with SARS. When we got his contact sometime in September last year from the kidnappers, we did not know he was the one because they gave us a different name.

It was during investigations that the police discovered that he is my relative.

“So, his family and our family had a meeting and he was invited to the meeting to resolve the issue.

“It was during the meeting that the police arrested him.

“The suspect said the girl was no longer with him.

“He told the police investigators that after he was paid N250,000, he released the girl to another person who took her to Libya.”

She said the kidnappers had called the family with more than 35 foreign numbers.

“The last time we spoke with Precious, she told us that she was now in Libya, “Blessing added.

The Police Public Relations Officer, Lagos State Command, Kenneth Nwosu, said he would call back.

BUHARI WILL SEND ME TO JAIL IF YOU VOTE HIM IN....PATIENCE JONATHAN

Patience Jonathan .yesterday in Oyo State at a PDP rally while campaigning for her husband  said the All Progressives Congress presidential candidate, Muhammadu Buhari is planning to send her to prison.  She also said if not for the president Jonathan, a lot of Nigerians today would have never known was a train is talk less of seeing one. What she said;

“I want to warn you not to listen to the All Progressives Congress. The APC does not have materials to match what the PDP has on (the) ground. Their candidate was there in governance initially. What did he do? They only sent your fathers to prison.

“They are planning to even send me to prison. Holy Ghost fire! Holy Ghost fire! Holy Ghost fire! They have nothing to offer. They only say ‘I will’, ‘I will’.

“A train is moving and it has now got to Oyo State. When we talk about train, some of you may have not seen a train before now. The last time a train moved in this country was when I was small and in primary school.

“When my children were small, they asked me what a train was. I had to take them to London and we entered a train from London to Paris. But the PDP government has brought this back to Nigeria. If you want to see train working today, you don’t need to travel again.”

WICKED & HEARTLESS: ANGRY MAN KILLED 'LOVER BOY' OVER ALLEGED AFFAIRS WITH HIS DAUGHTER...POLICE WANT TO COVER IT UP....

One Mr Godwin Elewana, has been arrested by the Police in Cross River state, over circumstances that led to the death  Douglas Ojugbo,22, pictured above who is believed to have been killed by him over accusations that the young man was having an affair with his daughter.
Punch, reveals that Elewana, had repeatedly given Douglas a stern warning to desist from coming to his house to see his daughter but the young man refused. Things came to an unfortunate end when Mr Elewana pursued and shot Douglas twice when he came in search of his daughter on March 10th.

According to neighbours of Mr Elewana, on seeing that he had inflicted serious injuries on the young man, he carried him into his car and drove him to the Federal Housing Police Station. The young man had died before they arrived at the police station. He was immediately buried by policemen at the station who claimed the complain they got was that he was an armed robber.

Speaking on the matter, the Divisional Police Officer in charge of the station, Mr. Mike Ezenwenrem, said "I got a call from one of my patrol officers, who said an armed robbery suspect was being brought in. I called the control unit, informing them that a suspect was apprehended at the Basin Authority area. When the patrol came, I saw somebody at the back of the pickup and they brought him down. They brought some iron rods and one locally-made pistol, saying an angry mob nabbed the robber. Elewana was there with the mob. He (Elewana) said he was in his compound, when he heard his dog barking and that when he checked, he saw someone rushing out from the sitting room of the other flat. He said the suspect (Douglas) threatened him with the machete he was holding, but he (Elewana) said he retreated to his flat and brought out his double-barrelled gun and shot the suspect. He said after the shooting, the suspect still managed to scale the fence, but the people around pursued him, brought him down and beat him up. I sought to know the boy’s identity, but nobody knew him. I then told my men to take the statement from Elewana who acted in self-defence. The corpse was unidentified and besides I could not raise N35,000 to take him to the mortuary, so I called health workers in the state to take him away. I don’t know anything about this issue of girlfriend and boyfriend. The man said the boy came to rob in one of his flats and later threatened him. So, it was a case of robbery. People should not face the police, they should face the man who shot him. The man is not on the run.”he said
In a swift reaction, Douglas Father, Mr. Augustine Ojugbo, a lawyer, said contrary to Mr Elewana’s complained; his son was not having an affair with his daughter. He said his son had sold a mini laptop to Mr Elewana's daughter who paid in part and had gone to collect his balance when he was killed by Mr Elewana

"My son is 22 years old. Sometime this year, he sold his mini laptop to the daughter of Mr. Elewana Godwin. Elewana’s daughter name is unknown to me at the moment. But she made a part payment of the agreed sum, leaving the balance. My son, in a bid to collect or recover the balance of his money, had been visiting the lady at home and he ran into Elewana on his previous visits. Elewana, not pleased with the boy’s presence, demanded to know what he was doing in his house. My son explained to Elewana of his transaction with his daughter. Elewana, without any effort to verify the boy’s story, asked him to leave his house and warned him never to visit his house again. My son was about leaving when Elewana’s daughter cornered him and asked him to come on March 10 to collect the balance of his money. On that fateful day, my son went to Elewana’s house, hoping to see the daughter as agreed, but unfortunately he saw Mr. Elewana. Elewana, upon sighting Douglas, ran into his room and fetched his gun. My son took to his heels to save his life. However, Elewana pursued him until he caught up with him at the gate of Basin Authority, and he shot my son first on the leg as a result of which Douglas fell down. To accomplish his goal, Elewana shot him the second time on the arm. Elewana still bundled Douglas into his car and took him to the Divisional Police Officer of the Federal Housing Police station. The DPO conspired with Elewana to get rid of Douglas’ corpse.” he said
When asked why Douglas was hurriedly buried without his parents’ consent, the DPO Mr Ezenwenrem said he had nowhere to keep Douglas body when it was brought to the station.

"Where do you expect me to keep the corpse when I did not have the financial power to send the body to mortuary? We have health authority that could be called upon anytime to dispose unidentified corpse. Where they could have faulted me is if someone had come to identify the corpse and I still went to the health authority to bury the corpse. We normally call them to come and dispose corpses, especially unidentified ones. At every point in this whole issue, I communicated with the Commissioner of Police and also sent signals. I did not follow the health authorities to where they took the corpse to..”he said

OBASANJO WARNS AGAINST RUMOURED OF HANDING OVER TO MILITARY IF JONATHAN LOSES AN ELECTION

You know that OBJ does not talk except he sees!!! Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, yesterday, raised alarm of a rumour that the Goodluck Jonathan administration planned to hand over to the military if he loses in Saturday’s up-coming presidential election!!! The former President warns that this would undermine the integrity of Nigeria among the comity of nations.  While hosting the South West women of the All Progressives Congress led by Aisha Buhari, Obj says:

“I do hope we will get things more right. A lot of rumours are flying around, I think we have done away from the rumour of Interim Government because that is not in our constitution. I hope we will soon go away from the rumour of handing over to the military because the military is not meant to run affairs of a nation in terms of running government.

“And the intentional community will not condone it, particularly African Union where it is part and parcel of the constituting act of the African Union, that any government that is brought about, not on the basis of the constitution will not be accepted, will not be tolerated and will not be a member of the AU until that government is dismantled.

“It shouldn’t be Nigeria, we are the largest country in Africa, we should be a model, setting examples, we shouldn’t be drawing Africa backward, I hope we will not. I hope at the end of this exercise, we would be where we should be, leading Africa and showing examples for the rest of Africa and indeed the rest of the world.

“We have the goodwill of many people, I watched, last night, President Obama talking about our constitution, I watched our brother from Ghana,  the current Chairman of ECOWAS talked about our constitution, they are all interested, they all wish us well, should we wish ourselves anything less?,” he said.
