PRESIDENT MUHAMMADU BUHARI ABSENT FROM FEDERAL EXECUTIVE COUNCIL MEETING !

President Muhammadu Buhari is currently absent at the Federal Executive Council meeting holding at the state house Abuja. Vice President Yemi Osinbajo is presiding over the meeting. This will be the first time President Buhari will be absent at the meeting since his return from his medical trip to the UK.

LIB reached out to President Buhari's Personal Assistant on New Media, Bashir Ahmad, to know why the president wasn't at the meeting and he said Buhari is very well but decided to allow Osinbajo preside over the meeting. No official statement from the presidency yet.


"As a president, at any time he can decide to give his Vice President the opportunity to preside any meeting he wants and this time around actually, he wanted his Vice President to Preside over the Federal Executive Council"he said

On President Buhari's health status, Ahmad said "He is doing fine"

STEVE WONDER SET TO MARRY HIS THIRD WIFE IN A STAR-STUDDED CEREMONY IN JAMAICA

Grammy award-winning singer, Stevie Wonder is set to wed his third wife, Tomeeka Robyn Bracy, in a star-studded beachside ceremony in Jamaica.

The 67-year-old singer and his 42-year-old bride to be who have been dating for five years will tie the knot on Saturday, June 17, 2017.
The singer’s nine children from his former partners and girlfriends will be acting as bridesmaids and best men.

Celebrities expected at the event which will also witness top performances include Elton John, Sam Smith and many others.

According to a Daily Mail report, Miss Brace will sign her wedding papers in the traditional fashion, while the blind singer will be using two fingerprints to make proceedings official.

His former partners include Melody McCully and singer Yolanda Simmons with whom he had a daughter, musician Aisha Morris.

Stevie Wonder and Tomeeka Robyn Bracy who already have two children together are believed to have signed a prenup, which is yet to be revealed.

MARIAH CAREY SPLITS FROM HER DANCER BOYFRIEND !

Mariah Carey who ended her relationship with her billionaire boyfriend, James Parker, all because of her dancer, Bryan Tanaka, who came in-between them, has also reportedly ended her relationship with Bryan.

According to TMZ sources, their 3-month relationship ended because Bryan was always jealous of Mariah's ex-husband, Nick Cannon.

Sources alleged that he never liked Mariah close relationship with her ex – who she
has five-year-old twins Moroccan and Monroe with.

They reportedly went on holiday as a family and would go to dinner and parties together – sometimes without the kids. It's said their close bond drove Bryan "insane".

The Federal Road Safety Corps has suspended Ayodele Kumapayi, its sector commander in Rivers State, for cutting female officers hair with scissors.

Photos of the controversial disciplinary action, which came during a routine parade exercise, circulated on the internet on Monday.

The FRSC spokesperson, Bisi Kazeem, said in a text message to premium times on Tuesday morning that other officers who allegedly participated in that act have been suspended alongside Mr. Kumapayi.

He said the sector commander accused the female marshals of carrying long hairdo.

Mr. Kazeem said the Corps Marshal of the FRSC, Boboye Oyeyemi, ordered the errant officers immediate suspension pending investigation into the incident.




JUST IN: FIRE RAZES AUDIT UNIT OF FAAN HEADQUARTERS IN LAGOS

There's been a fire outbreak at the Federal Airport Authority (FAAN), headquarters in Lagos.  PM News reports that the Director, Lagos State Fire Service, Razak Fadipe, disclosed that the state's fire service has arrived at the scene, with two fire trucks carrying 10,000 litres of water, and are currently battling to put out the inferno.


“A building belonging to FAAN is on fire now at the airport. Two fire trucks are battling with it,” Fadipe said.
The  News Agency of Nigeria, NAN,  also reported that an official of the National Union of Air Transport Employees, NUATE, identified as Frank, said the Audit unit of FAAN was badly affected by the fire.

  Tonto Dikeh's  estranged husband,Dr Olakunle Churchill , has revealed that he’s not bothered about his separation from his wife, and neither has it affected his business “as life has taught me not to mix the two – no matter what,” he said.

He revealed this to GhanaWeb yesterday while making donations of foodstuffs and an undisclosed amount of money to Osu Children’s Home, in Accra, as part of  preparation for the Charity Football Match sponsored by Big Church Foundation which is to take place on the 17th of April.


“The Charity Football Match is going to feature kids from various orphanages as well as celebrities who are going to share their time and love with them,” he said.
Explaining the inspiration behind his charity work:
“For me, it’s more like a vow between me and God that a percentage from the profits I make from my companies will go into charity works, and things has been running smoothly because God has as not seized to bless me.
Also, I feel fulfilled caring for the less privilege, because you never can tell how far these little support we are giving - goes in giving them hope; help discovering themselves and later becoming a great person in life”.
Churchill also hinted on his plan to sign an Ambassador as the face of the new project he’s planning to use in empowering Ghanaian youths.
“We recently signed Praiz, a musician in Nigeria - as the Ambassador for “Empower 36,000 Youths” in Nigeria.
We hope to do a similar thing in Ghana soon - because the future is in Agriculture. And the best way to reduce criminals on streets and build a great nation is to empower the youths.
2017 has also been a year of accolades for Dr. Churchill as well as his foundation - has Big Churchill Haven was awarded the Northern Nigerian Charity Organization of the Year at the Northern Peace Summit/Awards 2017.
