AFTER FFK'S FOURTH MARRIAGE CONTROVERSY ...HIS 3RD WIFE DESCRIBES HIM AS GENTLE AND CARING HUSBAND



Regina Amonoo, third wife of Femi Fani-Kayode, has described the ex-Nigeria Minister of Aviation in  as a caring husband.


Regina, a Ghanaian, in a Facebook post on Tuesday, claimed that contrary to media reports, she was still married to the former minister.



The revelation comes amid controversy over Fani-Kayode’s fourth marriage to former beauty queen, Precious Chikwendu.


“Chief Femi Fani-Kayode is my husband. We got married under traditional law and custom in Accra, Ghana, in 1997 and we got married under the Marriage Act at the Apapa Registry in Lagos, Nigeria, in 2002. 


“We have a beautiful daughter called Oluwaremilekun and both she and I are very proud of him. He has been a wonderful father and caring husband and he has never subjected me to any form of domestic abuse or treated me badly. 


“Anyone that knows Femi well knows that his greatest weakness are those he loves and he will do anything for them. He is a warm, kind, generous, gentle, intelligent and loving man who is not afraid of anything or anyone and who takes care of his own. From the very beginning of his relationship with Precious he told me about it and I accepted it in good faith. 


“Reports in the media that we are divorced are fake and suggestions that I was treated in a bad way by him or subjected to any form of abuse at any time in the 23 years that we have been married are malicious and false,” she said.


 

BOSS RAPES HIS HOUSE GIRL AND FORCED HER TO TAKE CONTRACEPTIVES


 A domestic house help, named Balogun,who worked with her boss, whose identity is yet to be known, at Brown Roof Estate, Araga, off Atlantic Hall International School, Epe, said the man forcefully had sex with her multiple times and forced her to take contraceptives thereafter.


Balogun said her boss always tied her hands and legs whenever he wanted to rape her.


“It started after lockdown when the wife of my boss returned to work.


“My boss called me and tied my hands and legs and forcefully had sex with me.


“Whenever he rapes me, he gives me drugs and alcohol to use so that I will not get pregnant,” she said.


She added that the man always threatened to kill her if she told anybody about what he was doing to her.


“My boss always threatened to kill me if I told anybody what he was doing to me.


“The police have come to arrest him and I have given the drugs he used to give me to them,” she added.


The case was reported to the police but shortly afterwards the suspect was released without any charge, it was gathered.


Balogun, who came from Abeokuta, Ogun State, to work in Lagos as a means of survival, says she has been cheated is demanding justice for the sexual abuse on her by the unnamed boss.

EX-MINISTER ACCUSED OF STRIPPING HIS FOUR STAFF NAKED FOR ALLEGEDLY STEALING N5,000





 Four staff of Signatious Hotel, Warri, Delta State ( a male and three females) identified as Gloria Oguzie, Victor Ephraim, Rosslyn Okiemute and Achibong Precious.  were striped naked and photographed inside the hotel before being taken to Ebrumede Police Station where they were remanded in custody for allegedly stealing N5,000

 .

According to Sahara Reporters, the ex-Nigerian Minister accused of arresting hotel staff and stripping them naked for allegedly stealing N5,000


A source said;

 


"My boss, former Minister of State for Education and owner of Signatious Hotel, Chief Kenneth Gbagi, arrested four of my colleagues working for him over the stealing of N5,000 from the hotel when actually the N5,000 was given as a gift to them by a guest because of their good behaviour.


"Before they were arrested by the police on Friday last week at the hotel, the four staff were stripped naked while they were photographed in the presence of the police. 


"We learnt that the dehumanising treatment was instructed by our boss."



It was also alleged that the hotel management forcefully made some withdrawals from their bank accounts with their ATM cards before the police took them away in a waiting van.


They were subsequently arraigned before a magistrate court sitting in Effurun on Monday September 21, after four days of detention.



In a five-count charge, the police accused the suspects of conniving among themselves to steal monies ranging from N156,000, N110,000, N5,000 and N2,000 owned by Signatious Hotel and committed an offence punishable under section 516 and 390 (9), of the criminal code Law Cap21C Vol.1 Law of Delta State.


 


They were granted bail following the intervention of some anti-corruption and human rights activists who decided to take up the matter. Warri-based human rights lawyer, Omemiroro Maxwell Ogedegbe confirmed the story and also disclosed that the four staff were granted bail by a magistrate court sitting in Effurun, Delta State.

OBASEKI PUT AN END TO GODFATHERISM AS HE WON EDO GOVERNORSHIP ELECTION


Independent National Electoral Commission(INEC) has declared Godwin Obaseki the winner of the Edo State gubernatorial election today with 307,955 votes, which was enough to be declared a clear winner over Ize-Iyamu’s 223,619 votes. . Mr. Obaseki will return as the Governor of the state for a second term.


 

The results were declared by INEC on Sunday afternoon after the results were counted from all LGA’s on Saturday.

The collective will of Edo people made it possible for us to triumph over godfatherism. Congratulations to all Edo people. Former Presidential aspirant, Atiku Abubakar has congratulated Governor Godwin Obaseki after he won the Edo state governorship election.


 


Taking to Twitter, the former Vice President of Nigeria said Obaseki's win signifies "the end of Godfatherism" in Nigeria.


 


 

LAGOS STATE RELEASES SCHOOL CALENDAR FOR 2020/2021 SESSION

 The Lagos state school calendar for year 2020/2021 session has been released by the state's Ministry of Education, Office of Education Quality Assurance. 

 

In the new time table, both public and private schools below tertiary level will resume First Term academic activities on Monday 21st September, 2020 while the term runs through Friday 18th December, 2020.

 

The Second Term starts on Monday 4th January, 2021 and runs through Friday 16th April, 2021 while students will resume for Third Term on Tuesday 4th May, 2021 and close on Friday 6th August, 2021.
 

The Director General, Office of Education Quality Assurance, Mrs Abiola Seriki-Ayeni who urged school leaders to embrace new learning style like outdoor classes, staggered attendance, platooning or alternative attendance among others in collaboration with parents in a safe and secure environment, also disclosed that further measures put in place by the Lagos State Government through the Office of Education Quality Assurance is for public and private schools in Lagos State to register online with the OEQA, take the School Self-risk Assessment, take the online training course to obtain reopening clearance for academic activities.

 

She said; 

 

 “It is not enough to reopen but to keep staying opened since some schools all over the world had to shut down after reopening due to a spike in the pandemic. All schools must make efforts to comply with these requirements, not just for the improvement of the overall school operations but for safe reopening for academic activities to support the Lagos State Government quest for a full return”.


 

GODWIN OBASEKI PROJECTED WINNER OF EDO GOVERNORSHIP ELECTION WITH RESULTS AVAILABLE SO FAR


The ongoing governorship election in Edo state ended yesterday, September 19, followed by the counting of votes. There are 14 governorship candidates participating in the election, but the incumbent governor, Godwin Obaseki of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), and Osagie Ize-Iyamu of the All Progressives Congress (APC) are believed to be the top contenders in the race.

 The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) indicated that 1.72 million people are eligible to vote in the election, while 483,796 eligible voters will not participate in the poll for failure to collect their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs).

Governor Godwin Obaseki of Edo State is projected to win Saturday's governorship election in the state.

Obaseki achieved the feat after amassing massive votes.According to the results from 17 Local Government Areas announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission so far, the Peoples Democratic Party is leading with over 82,000 votes.

INSECURITY IN NIGERIA: BANDITS KILLED DPO AND ABDUCT TWO MARRIED WOMEN IN GIDANMADI SOKOTO STATE


Bandits in Tangaza local government area of Sokoto state on Wednesday night, shot and killed a police DPO and an Inspector as they abduct 2 married women in Gidanmadi community. 

A locale told the BBC Hausa in an interview, that at about 1 am,they were woken up by gunshots in the community. “We knew it was the bandits because a day before, they attacked neighboring Tangaza. They caused serious havoc.. 

They shot sporadically and killed the DPO of Gidanmaji before they abducted the women. He said a police reinforcement later came to the village from Sokoto with an ambulance, and took away the corpses.

ASP Mohammed Sadiq,the PPRO in Sokoto confirmed the attack, saying the Commissioner of Police had visited the village, while investigation had commenced.

 Another local who had since migrated to neighboring Niger Republic, told the BBC Hausa that the Gudu community near the location that was attacked, was constantly under attack by the bandits. ” Gudu and Tangaza local governments are always under attack by the bandits. 

On Saturday, the bandits were in Bachaka wielding dangerous weapons, they operated from house to house,from 3.00am to 5.30am. “On Sunday morning they returned to another community and abducted people, they came on Monday and abducted 2 people in Awumgi…the abductees  are still in their captivity. I am among the IDPs in Niger Republic,” he said.
