SUGAR BOY CONSPIRES WITH FRIENDS TO MURDER HIS SUGAR MUM IM LAGOS
Three persons have been arrested by the police after a
40-year-old woman identified as Helen Peters allegedly died in their custody.

Henry, 25, Monday Ochonu 25 and Taiwo Adebiyi, 57, allegedly committed the
offence at 36, Fashola Street, Papa Ashafa, Agege.
According to the Police, Henry claimed that he was the
boyfriend of the deceased.
He was also accused of conspiring with Taiwo, who happens to
be a nurse to kill the victim.
Henry and Taiwo were accused of administering the
Lagatine injection to incapacitate the victim so as to kidnap her and
thereafter, extort money from her rich husband, which led to her unfortunate
demise.
Taiwo was said to have supplied the injection that killed
the victim, while the other alleged accomplice, Monday, tied the deceased’s
hands and legs backward with a rope and also covered her mouth with a piece of
cloth which suffocated her to death.
Their plea was however not taken.
The offences contravene and are punishable under
Section 221 and 231 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State of Nigeria 2011.
The Magistrate, Mrs K. A. Ariyo adjourned the matter
till 31 March for (DPP) Director of Public Prosecution’s advice.
11 LASU STUDENTS SUSPENDED OVER ILLEGAL PARTY WHERE A FEMALE COLLEAGUE DIED
The Lagos State University
(LASU) has announced the suspension of 11 students in connection with the death
of the Miss Omolara Gbadeyan, a 200-Level student in the Department of
Industrial Relations and Personnel Management, Faculty of Management Science.
The suspended students are members of the executive committee of the History
and International Studies Students Association, organisers of the party which
led to the death of Gbadeyan.
Gbadeyan
was confirmed dead two weekends ago at the General Hospital Igando where she
was rushed to after allegedly drinking a mixture of alcoholic drinks.
According
to the official bulletin issued by the university’s Centre for Information,
Press and Public Relations, the organisers of the party neither sought
permission from, nor informed, the authorities, which was contrary to the
regulations of the university.
According
to the report, the suspended students include Babatunde Arubo (Chairman), Paul
Shenjobi (President), Esther Kudayah (Vice-President), Matthew Balogun (General
Secretary) and Bidemi Eletu (Treasurer).
The
statement added that the affected students were no longer allowed to participate
in any student-related activity and should appear before a disciplinary
committee.

Onyekachukwu who was accused of killing a seven-year-old boy, on Thursday told
an Ikeja High that he unknowingly killed the boy.
The boy
simply identified as Ayuba died on January 12, 2013 in the Abaranje area of
Ikotun.
Onyekachukwu when arrested was accused of luring the boy into his compound, where he allegedly strangled him to death. He denied the allegation and also blamed one Jamiu for the death of the boy.

At
Thursday’s proceedings, Onyekachukwu, however recanted his earlier statement
and confessed that he mistakenly killed the boy. He admitted that he dumped the
body in a soak away to escape the consequences of his action.
He made these confessions during cross-examination by the prosecution lawyer, Mr Akin George.

Narrating
to the court, Onyeka said: “I was carrying my young friend on my shoulder and
we were walking towards the door, when we both fell because the floor was
slippery. I tried reviving him by pouring water on him, but he did not wake up.
“I shook
him and tapped him but he was dead. At that point, I didn’t know what to do. I
did the only thing that came to my mind by disposing the body into the
soak-away in our compound.”
When it
was discovered that Ayuba was missing, the neighbours organised a search party
but were unable to locate his whereabouts, until one week later when Onyeka’s
uncle called the deceased parents to come to his house and showed them a ransom
written in Onyeka’s handwriting.
In the
letter, Onyeka had demanded for N5 million as ransom, stating that he kidnapped
Ayuba.
Onyeka was, thereafter, arrested in his uncle’s living room.

Investigation
also revealed that Onyeka stangled Ayuba to death, hid his body in a bag and
later disposed it in a nearby soakaway in the estate.
The
suspect further confessed that he lied against Jamiu, whom he claimed to be a
ritualist, stating that he said so because he was scared of what will be done
to him if he told the truth.
“I was
not comfortable seeing the family and the whole neighbourhood searching for him,”
he said, adding that “I did not write any letter to the deceased family, I am
not aware of any letter presented by my uncle.”
Onyeka maintained.
The matter was thereby adjourned till April 18, for continuation of trial.be done to him if he told the truth.

Oyediran Ajanaku, who was allegedly stabbed to death by his wife, Yewande
Oyediran, at their Akobo Estate home in Ibadan on February 2nd, has
been laid to rest.
He
was buried at St Paul’s Cathedral Church of Nigeria (Anglican Communion) Oke
Osun Diocese, Gbongan, Osun State today February 26th. May his soul rest in
peace, Amen!
