MOJI OLAIYA: THE SHAME CALLED NOLLYWOOD.

NOT A NOLLYWOOD SCRIPT.........
Husband to actress, Foluke Daramola and founder Coordinator of Change Agents of Nigeria Network (CANN), Olukayode Salako thanked Asiwaju Bola Hammed Tinubu for sponsoring the Burial of Moji Olaiya, especially the transporting of the corpse back to Nigeria, He wrote that the burial committee called Governor Ayo Fayose and he responded that he doesn't know any Moji Olaiya.
He wrote:
WHEN SUCH A MAN OF CRUDE, DIRTY CHARACTER AND ORIENTATION IS IN CHARGE OF LEADERSHIP AND POWER.
Burial Committee:
Your Excellency, Moji Olaiya is dead and as an ambassador of your state, we would appreciate your support to fly her corpse back to Nigeria for befitting burial
Governor Fayose:
Who is Moji?! I don't know any Moji. Please, stop disturbing my phone!
What an aberration!
What an awkwardness and crudity in leadership!
Meanwhile,
Thank you Asiwaju Bola Hammed Tinubu for always proving it that you remain among the only few reasonable, reliable and benevolent fathers of the Yoruba nation ever since.
Moji's remains are coming back home.
Thank you Jagaban!
Thank you, all well-meaning Nigerians who have contributed in one way or the other.
Thank you, sir!
What a man with such a large heart!

The optics are bad only for those that can reason deep enough. A Yoruba adage goes: try and pretend to trip from a walk and see how many people will have your back. The manner in which Moji Olaiya died was bad. The way with which her corpse has been treated by her Nollywood friends has been disheartening, to say the least. During her illustrious Nollywood career in which she became a superstar. Over six million Yoruba movies were produced and counting. Moji starred in thousands of them.

When she died, we found out that her Nollywood friends could not come together to raise the money to bring her body home from Canada. Sad. All they did was shed tears acting to be in sorrow on Social media. The committee of friends led by Fathia Balogun had to go cap in hands begging to for money for the deceased superstar. To confirm the troubling fact that 96% of deaths in Nollywood has been due to either neglect by "Nollywood friends" and poverty.

We are talking about an industry where the stars are known to flaunt their wealth on red carpets. An industry with so many associations that would kill to get the next government money. The theme in most Nollywood stories is how well the country is doing. How many billions they won from a government contract. We see the big expensive cars. We see the breathtaking mansions. We see the designer bags and clothes. But when it was time to pay for Enebeli Elebuwa's ( Andrew No Check Out) medical bills. Nollywood stood by and watch him die. Same was the fate of Mufutau Sanni ( Ajigijaga) and so many others.

Most depressing now is what Nollywood friends are doing to Moji Olaiya, after her sad and unexpected demise. The truth in Nollywood is everyman for himself and God help us all. We often and rightfully find the government as the scapegoat to vent our blame and anger. But it is time Nollywood looks into the mirror. There is more to life besides lights, camera, action. When life happens to friends where will Nollywood be?

Thank you Ashiwaju Bola Tinubu. Thank you, sir, for doing what friends of Moji could not do. Finally, Moji Olaiya will come home to sleep. Thank you Jagaban.

"THE ONLY PROPERTY I HAD WHEN I MARRIED MY WIFE WAS MY TRIBAL MARK"~~SANYERI

Popular Nollywood actor,  Olaniyi Afonja a.k.a Sanyeri, talked about his wife of 10 years and how they met.

Sanyeri said: " I met her in 2004 when I want to screen my movie, Okan Emi, at the National Theatre in Iganmu, Lagos.

She came there to have a good time. I sighted her and her friend from afar. I walked up to her friend and told her I liked her friend but she said I should tell her myself. So I went to her and told her I would want us to get closer but she replied that was it because I just shot a movie that made me think I could ask her out.

Afterwards, she walked away. After that day, I saw her about a month later and I requested for her number. Even then, it took me a while to convince her to date me." On his most memorable moment with her, he said: "I always remember those times that we didn’t have much and she stuck by me.

When my wife gave birth to our first child, I had just N3, 500 with me, so it was quite tough. That’s why I always say that there is nothing I cannot give my wife. As of the time she married me, the only property I had was my tribal mark."

While advising young couples, he said: "We could not have a wedding anniversary celebration until six years after we had been living together as husband and wife. And what I’m trying to say is that my wife stayed with me, right from when there was nothing.

My advice for young girls is that they should not discard suitors, just because the person is not rich. So far the person has potential and focus, take the risk and stick with him. There are some people who started off as rich but became poor over time. Nothing lasts forever."

"WHAT MY MOTHER TOLD ME THE DAY SHE DIED"~~MOJI'S DAUGHTER

Adunoluwa, 20, daughter of late Nollywood actress, Moji Oaliya has described her mother’s death as the worst news in her life.

Speaking with newsmen on Saturday at her family house in Lagos, the bereaved young lady said on the fateful day that her mum passed on, she spoke with her over the phone and both of them had a good time, DAILY POST reports.

She recalled with nostalgia, “This is the worst kind of news anyone can hear. I spoke with her on the day she died and nothing prepared me for this bad news. We had a good time over the phone and she told me how my sister was doing and all. I will miss her love and care, because she always provided anything I wanted.”

On how the funeral rites would be handled, Adun simply said, “I don’t know at this point. It is the family that will take care of that.”

HOW MOJI OLAIYA DIED IN HER BASE IN CANADA....

At the Magodo residence of Nollywood actress, Moji Olaiya, her elder brother Otunba Olaiya who spoke to NET said the Moji’s death was most unexpected. ‘When I spoke to her a few days ago, she did not give signs of death. She never complained about anything. This is really heartbreaking’, he said.

Olaiya’s housekeeper Mrs Keji, who described herself as a very close friend of the deceased revealed details of the actress’s sudden death to us.

According to her, in the last three days before she passed away; the actress had placed several calls from her base in Canada to complain of ‘being uncomfortable’.

‘Her baby was born premature- her EDD was for May 2017 but  complications arose that necessitated that she be induced to save the baby’s life as well as hers. But since the delivery in March, her health had not been exactly perfect’.

Mrs Keji further exclusively informed us that around 10pm local time (3am Nigerian time) she went into a crisis. ‘Her blood pressure shot up and she got unconscious. An ambulance was called to transport her to the hospital. But her case worsened and she gave up the ghost before they could make it to the hospital.’

Keji who could not hold back tears continued, ‘Moji could not say goodbye to us, she didn’t let us hold her baby, where will her mother start from? Her death came too early, I believe this was not ordinary. This looks like a spiritual attack.’

Her 20- year old daughter, Adunola was visibly hysterical and had to be held back by friends who were around to console her. The Babcock University student was then taken into an inner room as her screams continued to be heard.

Moji Olaiya’s infant daughter however is said to be in care of her friend with whom she was staying in Canada. It is unsure what will happen to the two month old. Olaiya’s relationship with the father of the child, simply called ‘Mr Femi’ is hazy as there as insinuations that he is still married to someone else.

The 42 year old’s death almost exactly two years to the death of her younger brother Abidemi Olaiya who died on May 4 2015.

Her elder brother Otunba, however told us that the family had not informed their patriarch, renowned highlife muscian Dr Victor Olaiya.

‘As you know, Baba is old and it is never a good thing for children to die before their parents. We do not know how he will take it. We have to be really careful, but we are going to his Aguda residence later this evening,’ he said. (NET)

SOME POPULAR ACTRESS OFFER S3X FOR MOVIES ROLES~~SEYI HUNTER

The non-conformist actress, Seyi Hunter, confirmed that some popular actresses offer sex to movie producers just to get movie roles. She accused film-makers of being notorious for sleeping with actresses before giving them a movie role.

“Film makers like ass-licking and I’ve passed that stage of licking asses, so it’s the job I see that I do. You’ll be surprised the rate at which ladies offer their pussy to get roles, and these are known faces! Acting isn’t paying my bills or feeding me, someone else would have given up but it’s a hobby for me, something I love and enjoy doing, so I’m not going anywhere. I already made up my mind to improve on my productions and feature in them, plus the jobs I’m getting, I’m sure I’ll be fine”, she said.

According to her, actresses sleeping with movie-makers all to secure a role is characteristic of the Nigerian movie industry rather than a bane. For her, offering sex to a movie producer   to get a role is a big deal which she would never subject herself to because she has paid her dues in the movie industry, therefore she would rather retain her integrity than giving it up for peanuts.

"THE FACT THAT I LOST MY HUSBAND DOES NOT MAKE ME A SINGLE PARENT"~~ REGINA CHUKWU

Nollywood actress,Regina Chukwu, in a fresh interview with Dupe Ayinla-Olasunkanmi has revealed how she lost her husband many years ago, why she decided not to re-marry when her husband’s family told her, she will have to leave her kids if she has to do so and where her career is headed now. Excerpts;

Losing your husband at a young age, how has the journey being like for you so far?
'It hasn’t been easy. I started career about 13 years ago and my kids were still very young at that time. But today, my daughter is 16 and my son is 14, I am grateful to God.'

Regina with her children
'But not that they are grown up, it gives me more time to be able to pursue my dream to the level I want to take it to. Not that I have attained that dream, because I am yet to receive some awards that I want my name on, but so far, it has been great.'

It is not that I don’t worry about their welfare, but I have my mom and my siblings to fall back on their wellbeing, wherever I am not around.

So how is it like being a single mother?

I don’t like being referred to as a single parent. The fact that I lost my husband does not make me a single parent.  I just want to take God, for the way they have turned out to be. I am my daughter’s best friend.

You have also maintained a good look, what is the secret?

The fact that you have to watch what you eat is painful. I don’t do gym, because the money get wasted, that is because I don’t have time to go there.

How true is the talk that it is expensive to be a star?

I don’t agree to that; it is how you want to portray yourself to the world. I don’t go out of my way to satisfy people or make them believe I live an expensive life. The fact that you are a star does not make you different for other people.

That is my belief. Whatever I don’t have, I am satisfied. I don’t go ‘borrow-posing’ and claiming to be what I am not.  Whatever I want to do in life, I consider my kids first; that is because they are old enough to read, see and hear what goes around. When I wanted to pursue this career, my mother called me and told me her stand. Pointing out some things like her stand in Christianity, and told me to always put the future in the picture first before taking any decision. What she meant was that anything I do now will still come around to either affect my future or stand as a breakthrough for me.

Is it because of your kids that you have decided not to remarry?

Actually, it is because of them that I decided not to remarry then. Like I said earlier, I won’t call myself a single parent, because I am Igbo; the fact that you have lost your husband does not mean that you are still not married to that family.

So as it is traditionally I am still married to my husband family; I am still their wife and if they want to do any family function, I am considered and called upon. I still belong to the community wives meeting. When my husband passed away, I was called and asked if I wanted to remarry. The condition was for me to leave their children and go ahead. But I looked at my kids and they were still very young and I decided to stay. My children have been asking if I won’t remarry; they want a baby sister or brother. But I don’t know what God has in plan for me. I am open to whatever God is says will happen to me.

Are you saying you are free now from your late husband’s family?

If I decide to remarry now, it means whoever I want to get married to will pay my bride price and my parents will then go back to my late husband’s family to return the bride price they paid on me. It is tradition telling them this lady is no longer your wife. But when it is not done, I still remain their wife. I still paid my mother-in-law a visit last year.

HOME OF GENTRY'S : "IF I DIE THERE WOULD BE NO IMAGE TO PROTECT"~~ MERCY AIGBE

home of the Gentry’s  Mercy Aigbe’s husband, Lanre Gentry was remanded in prison during the week for failure to meet his bail condition, in an interview with Punch, the actress revealed more about her husband's fate and what she went through in his hands.

When Saturday Beats reached out to the ace actress, she made it known that she has nothing to do with her husband’s predicament. She explained that the matter was reported to the appropriate agencies and they are handling the case according to the law.

She said, “The case is no longer between my husband and I. It is now between the Office of Public Defenders, Lagos State Ministry of Women Affairs and my husband. The officer is the one handling the case.”

Aigbe in an emotional laden voice said that she wants her husband to know the gravity of what he has done because till date, she is still coughing out blood due to the beatings she got from him.

“I cannot be washing my dirty linen in public and that is why I do not want to go into details of my marriage. It is not in my place to send him to jail. I only reported to the appropriate authorities and I just need him to show remorse for what he has done to me. He does not know the gravity of what he has done to me, the pains that I feel right now and the trauma I have gone through.

I am still in pains and I am bleeding internally because I am still coughing out blood. Instead of him to be remorseful, he was busy going online to say all sorts of things about me and concocting lies.
He has been fabricating stories to taint my image because he knows I am the one with a reputation at stake. I intentionally did not say anything even though I have proof of everything I have to say. Instead of my husband to show some sense of responsibility and own up to what he did, he was busy dragging my name in the mud,” Aigbe said.

She told Saturday Beats that she endured a lot in her seven-year-old marriage but she stayed put because of her children and the people who look up to her as a role model. She said, “I endured all the things that I went through in his hands because of my children and also because of the fact that people look up to me as a role model.

I have been through a lot and I pray and fast a lot so that things would go on smoothly. I have been praying and enduring a lot but this last time, the beating was brutal and he almost killed me.”

The actress told Saturday Beats that Gentry kept claiming that she was promiscuous but that it is a false statement aimed at tarnishing her image. Aigbe said it was never reported that she was promiscuous while she was a single lady, so why would she start such an act as a married woman.

“Before I got married, there was no scandal about me being promiscuous, no one could say that I was sleeping around; so why would I now do such as a married woman? If I were that promiscuous like he claims, how come no journalist has ever reported such stories about me? I have been working so hard to build my brand and now he wants to rubbish it,” she said.

She said that he husband’s major problem is his anger and although she had advised him to go for anger management classes, he refused.

“The problem with him is that he cannot control his anger and I have advised him on several occasions to see a therapist or enroll in anger management class to learn how to control his temper but he refused.

He gets violent whenever he is angry and that is his problem. There is no way a couple would not fight but it does not always have to lead to physical violence. On that fateful day, he hit my head on the wall just because I found out that he was having an affair with someone very close to me and we had an argument. He came to beat me at my tailor’s place.

He even beat my make-up artiste and broke her hand. It was from that place that I was rushed to the hospital very late that night. When he was beating me, he was acting as if he was possessed.
Ever since he had been beating me, he had never beaten me to this extent. It was as if he had made up his mind to kill me or blind me so that my career would end. I don’t know why he is doing all this. I have offered to take him to church but whenever we get there, he would refuse to enter.
I tried all my best. If only he went for therapy, all this would not have happened and I don’t have to stay with him till he kills me. Imagine if I had died that day, I wonder what kind of cover up story he would have released to the public,” the actress said.

She made it clear that she was fighting for her life.
“I am fighting for my life because if I die there would be no image to protect. I just want him to sign an undertaking that nothing would happen to me because a man who is capable of sending thugs to the house is capable of anything. Someone who can set me up and lie that I have mental illness can do anything. He should sign the undertaking and we should go our different ways. If not, I would leave the case to the appropriate agency and the law would take its full course,” Aigbe said.
