LOUD OVATION FOR 'LADI': A FEARLESS FEMALE HUNTER FROM ADAMAWA STATE

What a man can do, a woman can even do better! Women are generally considered as the weaker sex but in the battle to flush out Boko Haram from Nigerian territory, alas, they stand equal with their male counterparts! Fearless, pretty and bold, Ladi, the female hunter from Adamawa State fear neither man nor woman, her ultimate goal is just to help flush out the dreaded Boko Haram. 

Ladi , a dark-skinned young lady in her 20s. Looking at her, you would hardly believe that she possesses the boldness to confront members of the terrorist sect. In fact, you would pass her off as a young man due to her masculine features but she is in all respects a lady.

According to her, she was motivated by the desire to join in the effort to save her nation from the rampaging terrorists called Boko Haram. Ladi is not alone, with this desire; it was gathered, and there are a number of female hunters engaged in the Civilian Joint Task Force.

This female hunters are all part of a civilian vigilante coalition known as Ibn Fadlallah’s forces. Barely literate and armed with locally made guns as well as bows and arrows, they risk lives helping the armed forces to hunt members of the sect in the jungles of the North-Eastern states of Nigeria comprises of Adamawa, Borno and Yobe.

Asked why she mustered the courage to join the effort, beautiful Ladi replied: “Boko Haram’s days are numbered. We are not afraid and we are ever ready to fight them (boko haram).

“Me, fear death? Never. This is because I believe that we shall all taste it someday,’’ said Ladi, with boldness etched on her face. Ladi, like other male volunteers was optimistic that, with support and motivation they would succeed. “I can assure you that, with support, encouragement and assistance we can play our own role in fighting the monster called Boko Haram.

“We need support from government and individuals to cater for our families,” she added, brandishing her dane gun. Ladi and her colleagues say they dare to confront the insurgents with the inferior weapons in their hands, vowing that, “If you are committed and have faith in God, you will succeed. We know they (Boko Haram) are using sophisticated weapons, but that will not deter us from facing them squarely. “They thought we would be afraid; never! One can kill a snake with his or her little stick; commitment, resilience and above all faith are the key factors,” she concluded. Though she is married, she declined to disclose personal details for security reasons. Ladi is part of the large army of hunters and CJTF which battled Boko Haram after it tried to install Amirs (leaders) in Maiha, a town in Adamawa State.

They foiled the move and killed several members of the sect. The civilian force also helped the armed forces to liberate some of the captured towns. 

NB: I hope that at the end of this exercise all this brave Nigerians will be honoured!

MANY STATES WILL BE GROUNDED NEXT YEAR...SUSWAM

‘If the crisis continues, I’m sure so many states will be grounded next year’, that was a statement credited to Governor Gabriel Suswam of Benue State ,the governor who spoke through his media aide, James Uloko decried the economic crisis in the country, particularly, the reduction in the crude oil prices, stating,

The governor who was reacting to non payment of workers’ salaries in the state cited the October allocation to buttress his argument, stressing that the wage bill of state workers stands at over N3 billion while the October allocation was N2.7 billion. He asked; “where do we make up the difference?”
 While acknowledging that the issue of salary was not peculiar to the state, Suswam said something drastic has to be done, calling on workers to understand the station.

CRIME: NANNY FROM THE HELL SENTENCED TO 3-YEAR IMPRISONMENT IN UGANDA

The police in Uganda has arrested the ‘ nanny from the hell’ that tortured the two year old baby whose father uploaded  the horrifying video to YouTube.
Jolly Tumuhiirwe, was arrested, tried and she was sentenced to three years imprisonment. But she is expected to appear before a judge on December 8th 2014 to face further charges that may include attempted murder.         

‘The video captured by interior security cameras early last week at Kamanzi’s  home of Naalya, reveals a breath-taking story where Tumuhiirwe is trying to feed the baby. The baby, whom we have established was sick at the time, exhibits difficulty in coping with the rough and speedy rate at which Tumuhirwe fed her.

Tumuhiirwe then turns to the porridge and started eating it. But the tot could not contain the stuffed food down her throat. She threw up dreadfully. This invited Tumuhirwe’s wrath. She landed a hot slap on the kid before throwing her off the sofa, her face kissing the floor. She remained there for a few seconds before Tumuhiirwe followed. ‘

KIDNAPPING: A WOMAN ARRESTED FOR ALLEGEDLY KIDNAPPED 2 BABIES FROM 2 MOTHERS

Kidnappers are everywhere; a middle age woman has been nabbed for allegedly kidnapping two babies after helping their mothers to settle hospital bills.

Sources privy to the goings on allege that According to the source, Sandra Matunga, who had lied to her husband that she had given birth to twins, actually kidnapped the two babies belonged to two different women whom Sandra claimed to have been helping with babysitting.

One of the parents of the minor child Blessing, said Sandra took her from the maternity ward and later on took the child from her.

“I gave birth to my child at Harare Hospital on the 5th of November but my husband and I had no money to pay for the hospital bills.

“Sandra then came and offered to pay the bill and when I was discharged she also offered to stay with me at her house.

“As I was staying with her, I woke up one morning and found out that my baby was missing.

“I asked her where she had taken my child then she said she took the child to Waterfalls where the child was being properly taken care of.

“She took the child without my consent and she then gave me bus-fare and asked me to go back to my parents’ place in Bulawayo without the child.

“When I got there I made a police report against her and when I came with the police I found her with my child plus another one,” said Blessing.

Meanwhile residents at the flat said they are now living in fear of their neighbour.

“It’s either she leaves or we vacate; we have children and it is impossible to be at peace knowing that one of your neighbours is involved in kidnapping deals,” said one resident.

A MAN OFFERS LOAF OF BREAD 4 OVERNIGHT S*X

He! He!! he!!!, I laugh in Arabic, an unlucky man, who identified himself as Tawanda Mutumba, had a one night stand with a Congolese runs lady only identified as Edna ,following morning  Tawanda failed to pay US$50  agreed upon for the services rendered, instead he offered her a loaf of bread  when he was asked to settle his bill.

Then drama ensued in Edna’s apartment as Tawanda quoted scriptures from the Holy Bible, in a desperate attempt to pacify the ladies who had gathered, he threatened her with deportation if she continued asking for her money. “Christians must not dine with us or come to a place where Angels will not tread. What we want is our money and nothing in these scriptures he is quoting,” one of the hookers was heard saying at the height of the fracas in Edna’s apartment.

“This is not a prayer room, give us the money or else eat your bread now!” shouted one of the hookers.
Edna told H-Metro that Tawanda wanted to take advantage of her being a foreigner threatening her with deportation after she demanded her money.

“He did not know that I have all my documents to be in the country in order when he threatened me with deportation after I demanded my money,” said Edna.

“I think he must be someone who is well connected because he was furious with me before I decided to inform my colleagues.

“I met him at Portuguese Restaurant last night and we came here at around midnight and he was holding his loaf of bread which he wanted to give me saying he has no cash,” said Edna.

Tawanda begged H-Metro not to publish the story because of the abuse he suffered at the hands of hookers.
“I think they have done more harm already so why publish me in your paper,” said Tawanda.

“To be honest, I have only $20 with me which they refused saying I have to give them the $50 we agreed on last night. I regret my actions and the bread was for me to take home and not as payment for sex,” said Tawanda.

TOP SECURITY OFFICER CAUGHT PANTS DOWN IN A HOTEL

Gray Mashava,   one of the members of the Central Intelligence Organisation, Zimbabwe was saved by a senior Police officer when he was caught pant down with a married woman in a hotel by the husband!

Ezra Maningi trailed his wife ( Maud Mashinya Maningi)  through the informants and they were finally caught  at Harare International Airport ..

When reporters arrived at the hotel, Ezra was shouting on top of his voice demanding Maud to open the door and hotel security were making efforts to calm him down after guests made a report. "Ndava kutofonera amai vako izvezvi vauye ukasavhura door kuti titaurirane," Ezra was heard saying.

A witness said . "Ezra warned Gray on several occasions for sending love messages to Maud and he bragged of his position as a Central Intelligence Organisation  operative. Ezra discovered a message where they agreed to meet on Sunday leading to the trap," 

"What I want is to talk to my wife and nothing else, vandirambidza kupinda muroom maanga ari and they refused to put me on handcuffs so as to make sure I don't turn violent," said Ezra.

"I love my wife; we have three children aged seven, five and two. With me here is our Seventh Day pastor and my cousins who came to witness the incident.

“I informed her mother and she told me that Maud also lied to her that she was visiting Masvingo only to find her here with a married man. Kutambira murume wemunhu asati atomboudza mudzimai wake kuti akafamba sei? I am now worried of my life since this man is well connected and he showed it by calling a senior police officer to rescue him here," said Ezra.

NATIONAL ASSEMBLY FRACAS: IGP MAY BE THE SCAPEGOAT!

Going by the recent statement credited to the Special Adviser to President Goodluck Jonathan on media and publicity, Reuben Abati, in which he distanced the President from the Thursday fracas at the national assembly where lawmakers were tear gassed by the police, its seems that the Inspector-General of Police may be the scapegoat!

Abati said, “The matter is being investigated; we should await the outcome of the investigations and so I urge that we should all refrain from saying anything that may be prejudicial, partisan or uninformed as some people are already doing, which may then turn out to be incorrect. But I can tell you that President Jonathan did not authorise any form of assault on the National Assembly. He did not. He has no hand in it. The police authorities themselves have said that they acted on their own, based on information that some thugs were planning to cause mayhem and compromise the safety of lawmakers”.
